Recently, the diving project competition of the 18th Guangzhou Youth Games came to an end, and the Huadu representative team performed well on the field, sitting firmly in the top position of the municipal games with absolute strength, the number of gold medals and silver medals.
The Youth Diving Competition of the Municipal Games kicked off on October 4 at the Guangzhou Sports Vocational and Technical College, with a total of 237 athletes from 8 district teams competing in the same field. Huadu District sent 56 people to compete for the laurels of 41 projects.
During the competition, the Young Players of Huadu were not afraid of strong hands, tenaciously fought, showed their strengths, played a remarkable role, and finally won a total of 22 gold, 14 silver and 12 bronze, which is also the largest number of gold medals in the 3 Municipal Games that the Huadu Diving Team has participated in since its establishment in 2012.
Among the Huadu participants, the most impressive is the Wang Guangzheng child jointly trained by Qi Yue Sports and the District Amateur Sports School, who is less than 8 years old this year, participated in the 5 events of the men's children's B group, and one of them won 4 golds, becoming the athlete who contributed the most to the gold medal of the Huadu representative team and one of the most eye-catching focuses on the field.
Another young player, 11-year-old Wang Yilin, in the first five rounds of a total of 8.35 points behind the opponent, the last jump, she chose the 5132D action, with a high difficulty coefficient and the quality of completion to achieve a reversal, won the women's junior group C 1 meter board championship, but also won the 5 meter platform single gold medal and 3 meter board single runner-up.
After the game, huadu young generals took photos with Chen Aisen, Zhang Yanquan, quan hongchan three Olympic champion winners, the appearance of the three undoubtedly brought great encouragement to the little master and sister, and also became a model for them to compete and learn.
