Led by Ajie and Qiao Shiyu, the industry giants of "contracting film and television drama gods and goddesses", and active in Yang Tianxiang, Su Shangqing, Liu Chun and other new voice strength factions of the 729 sound workshop, although it has just celebrated its 4th birthday, it has long been recognized as the head voice actor label in the circle. Not long ago, several members Ajie, Yang Tianxiang, and Crooked came to Shanghai to participate in the promotion of the work, and enthusiastic fans entered three or four hours in advance to wait, holding up exquisite hand banners to call for help, and the noodles were not lost to the little idols.

However, if you ask the question on the Internet, "What kind of company is 729 Sound Factory?" Maybe everyone will be more willing to interpret it this way - this is "a game team that amateurs talk about crosstalk and send food." From the early years when a group of enthusiasts used love to generate electricity, to today's corporate operation on the track, what has not changed is the close cooperation between the members and the strict requirements for dubbing performances.

Recalling that he was a fledgling and sent a "Amway Bag" to his predecessors to introduce himself, Yang Tianxiang said embarrassedly, "Maybe it seemed quite ridiculous at that time." Crooked was even more impressed by his first time as the male protagonist: "I was so anxious that I couldn't sleep well, I was dubbing in my dreams, and when I woke up, I found that it was a dream, and I was even more anxious." The clear and beautiful voice is just a stepping stone, but more importantly, the accumulation of 10,000 hours of training, "How can you learn the skill without suffering?" Pain is the only way to grow. ”

Fortunately, thanks to the reputation and prestige accumulated by the predecessors over the years, the newcomers can get more practice opportunities in the 729 Sound Workshop, which greatly shortens the growth cycle that Ajay has experienced. Today, Crooked has achieved a leap from the "Fox Demon Little Red Lady" group to the male protagonist of the unit, and Yang Tianxiang has grown from a voice actor to a dubbing director, and has also challenged film and television drama shooting for the first time.

Ajay pointed out that the difference between voice actors and voice directors is not only reflected in the technology of voice performance, but also in the ability to control the whole scene, "When voice actors record in the studio, consideration will be more subjective, and the director outside the studio must be more controlled, able to give dubbing guidance from other angles." Yang Tianxiang said bluntly: "Since I sit in the position of director, I must tell the truth, otherwise I will be sorry for the weight of this position." ”

In Ajie's view, the virtuous market cycle lies in the fact that there are both IP derivatives with quality and quantity, and voice actors to improve these works, "the dubbing industry and the entire cultural industry complement each other." On the way to chase dreams with sound, 729 Sound Workshop has already presented sincere works such as radio dramas such as "Kill the Wolf", "Silent Reading", "Full-time Master", "Three-Body Problem" and so on. On the occasion of the 4th birthday, they officially announced the radio drama "Notes from the Tomb Robber", "Sideburns Are Not Begonia Red", "Liu Yao", "Phantom of the Opera" multiplayer sound drama and other new projects, once again pushing the expectations of fans to a climax.

Sound can carry the scenery, moving with the heart. As an opportunity for the above film festival, the surging news reporter chatted with Ajie, Yang Tianxiang and Crooked.

【Dialogue】

The Paper: 729 Sound Workshop has celebrated its 4th birthday, how do you feel?

Ajay: Time flies really fast. In these four years of emotion, we have all pinned on the roles we have matched, and through the lines of these roles, they have been passed on to all the listeners who like us.

Yang Tianxiang: For me and Crooked, what we have gained in the past four years feels much more than what time has experienced. With Jie Dahe and the company, I have gained a lot of insights, and I have also been trained through a lot of resources, which I could not imagine when I was a person.

Ajay: Actually, our voice actors are all working towards a common goal, and I think [individuals and teams] are complementary.

Crooked: I joined 729 for exactly one year, and three years have passed in the blink of an eye. Probably after June or July last year, the opportunities felt were getting better and better.

Ajay: Crooked has now started recording the main characters in Little Red Lady Fox, which I don't think is too much at all. The average newcomer has grown to the third year, and it is time to stand alone and single out the beams.

Ajay

The Paper: Three years, is it almost the cycle of cultivating a new voice actor?

Yang Tianxiang: Some people are slightly faster, some people are slightly slower, probably this degree, anyway, I am not too fast. (Ajay: You're a year and a half, right? Less than two years. In fact, the basic level of each voice actor is not too different, what is important is the amount of training the day after tomorrow, as if there is a saying that it takes 10,000 hours.

Ajay: Tianxiang is right. Speaking of training, I remember when I first entered the industry in 2006, I couldn't match one or two animations a year, and the basics were all TV series, and it would be good to have one in two months. I couldn't keep up with the amount of training, and naturally I couldn't improve too fast, so it wasn't until 2010 and 2011 that I felt that I knew a little bit of dubbing. The growth of voice actors requires a lot of works for them to experience and accumulate, and tianxiang and crooked them really catch up with a good time.

The Paper: Do you remember the first time you played the protagonist? How would it feel to go back and listen to some of the early dubbing works?

Crooked: I just entered the industry for a year with "My Anti-Heaven Artifact", the first time to record the male protagonist is very scared, nervous to sleep.

Yang Tianxiang: "My Anti-Heaven Artifact" is also the one with the largest number of dubbings I received when I first started as a dubbing director. I could feel how scared Crooked was, and I advised him not to be nervous.

Crooked: I was so anxious during that time that I often woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. In the dream, I was dubbing, and when I woke up to find that it was a dream, I had to continue to match, and I was more anxious (laughs).

Ajay: From the rookie stage to the mature stage, it is definitely a process that needs to be learned, and I went to re-listen to the first male number one I recorded before, and I also thought it was too scary and unbearable to listen to (laughs). It is true that the works of my youth now seem to be shortcomings, but they cannot be completely denied. After waiting for more recordings, it is difficult to find the feeling of youth that I once had.

Very much

The Paper: In cultivating new talents, what qualities do you value more? How were Tianxiang and Crooked discovered by you at that time?

Ajay: I've been saying that dubbing is the art of performance. Many people have a certain misunderstanding of dubbing, thinking that dubbing only needs to sound good. But in fact, dubbing is to integrate emotions into the language, and then transmit them to the ears of the listeners through sound waves, thus impressing each other. So when I look at new people, I pay more attention to whether they have the feeling of acting.

Yang Tianxiang belongs to the Mao Sui self-recommendation type. At that time, he sent me some of the material he had recorded, and from his voice, I could hear his understanding of the performance. Crooked words, when he participated in the dubbing competition, I happened to be a judge, I gave him a very high score, and later invited him to Beijing to develop and try.

Yang Tianxiang: In fact, it is a video with a classmate recording a piece of music, similar to the kind of video that helps the New Year's Day performance, which may have seemed quite ridiculous to JieDa at that time (laughs).

Ajay: A lot of people's love of dubbing started by posting dubbing shows on the Internet, imitating the voices of classic characters. But for a voice actor to stand firm in the circle, his ability is certainly not limited to imitating other people's tone, but also has his own style.

The Paper: Did the epidemic in the first half of this year have an impact on the dubbing work?

Crooked: Usually after the Spring Festival, I will soon come back to work, and as a result, I have been at home for a long time this year.

Yang Tianxiang: For a while, everyone did not enter the recording studio for the sake of insurance, and then the situation improved a little, but the projects that were originally recorded by many people were changed to single people, and the working hours were strictly limited every day.

Ajay: After everyone has recorded, we will have half an hour to an hour to disinfect, so it is less efficient at that time. (Reporter: No wonder, it feels like the interval between waiting for the fifth season of "Silent Reading" is particularly long. Speaking of this, in fact, it is not just the link of our lines alone, things that could have been communicated face-to-face and solved quickly, but it was not good for a while, so the whole project was affected. According to the original plan, it was still quite calm to start in March and April, but as a result, many things piled up and pushed back, and we were also trying to rush to work, and we did not take a vacation for a long time.

Yang Tianxiang

The Paper: This year, Yang Tianxiang also participated in the film and television drama "Hello Meow Roommate", what are the different feelings of challenging filming?

Yang Tianxiang: Special thanks to the crew for choosing me. At the beginning of this drama, I wanted to find a few young people from various industries who had a good sex with cats. I got this opportunity, partly because the producers have worked with our company before, and everyone is familiar with it, and partly because I happen to have a cat too!

This time, I was very lucky to be with Zheng Yunlong, Cai Weize, Ma Boqian and Li Hao, who are all representative figures in their respective industries and have a happy cooperation. Dubbing itself is a kind of performance, and filming can comprehensively exercise my performance in terms of voice, shape, expression, etc., which is a good expansion of professional ability. When I came back to record the lines again, I felt that my understanding was more comprehensive, which was a particularly interesting and meaningful process.

The Paper: What do you think of dubbing "out of the loop"?

Ajay: Going out of the circle is definitely the direction we want to develop, but whether it can be achieved depends on the needs of the market. Whether a work can go out of the circle is not only determined by the dubbing link, I think first of all, there must be an excellent original foundation, and then our producers also contribute a lot, it is they keenly explore the potential vitality of a work, and put it into practice, and then we create according to their needs, showing the most ideal effect. So all along, thank you very much to the authors and producers for giving us the opportunity to further present such a good work.
