Yesterday (January 7) afternoon, the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and the Ningbo Municipal Government held a report meeting on the economic and social development of Ningbo in Hangzhou to solicit opinions and suggestions on Ningbo's future high-quality development and the preparation of the outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Qiu Dongyao, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, the person in charge of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission reported on the goal of Ningbo's development in the next five years and the main contents of the draft of the "14th Five-Year Plan" outline. After listening to the report, the veteran leaders at the provincial level attending the meeting believed that the goals of Ningbo's "14th Five-Year Plan" development were clear, and the key measures proposed in the draft planning outline for solicitation of comments were feasible. In their speeches, they put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions on singing the "Tale of Two Cities" in Hangzhou-Ningbo, consolidating and enhancing the advantages of urban development, improving the technological innovation system with enterprises as the mainstay, promoting the gathering of high-end innovative talents, attaching importance to the development and utilization of port resources, building a domestic and international dual-cycle hub city, accelerating the integrated development of Yongzhou, improving the development level of higher education and serving local development capabilities, strengthening the development of vocational education, and fully excavating the inheritance and development of history and culture.
Qiu Dongyao listened and took notes, and from time to time communicated with the old provincial leaders.
