Jefferson was a conflicted leader who preached democracy and freedom in public countless times, but during his reign he willingly served as an umbrella for slave owners. Jefferson's father-in-law was the largest slave owner in Virginia, and he naturally inherited his black slaves after his father-in-law's death, so Jefferson became the largest slave owner in the area. Coincidentally, his father-in-law ordered a ship of black slaves, but after the order, his father-in-law died, and Jefferson took the black slaves for his own use. After his wife's death, he had an affair with a 14-year-old girl who was another daughter of his father-in-law, half-sister-in-law of his original wife, and more importantly, the girl's mother was a black slave. This incident was a "scandal" published in a Fanigea newspaper after Jefferson became president, and the person who provided the revelation was his friend, the authenticity of which is evident.
