In the evening, the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the school was held at the Shanghai Drama Theater, and the 2020 version of the large-scale original drama "Xiong Foxi" was also premiered. On this day, the Shangxi Art Bookstore in front of Huashan Road School was officially opened, and the new Changlin Road Campus also showed a new look, and the Film Academy of Shanghai Theater Academy (formerly the School of Film and Television of Shanghai Theater Academy) was officially unveiled on the new campus, and Foxi College also appeared at the same time. A series of celebrations also began in these days.
At the celebration meeting on the same day, Xie Wei, secretary of the Party Committee of Shangxi Opera, delivered a speech saying: "45 years ago, when the great War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression sounded the clarion call for victory, Li Jianwu, Gu Zhongyi, Huang Zuolin, Xiong Foxi, and other progressive dramatists who had waged unremitting struggles for the salvation of the nation embraced the original intention of "gathering outstanding theater talents for the country," and painstakingly created this majestic hall of theater education and gave birth to the glorious revolutionary tradition and red literary and artistic genes of shangju. In the past 75 years, the original intention of the opera people to "gather theater talents for the country" has never changed. He also mentioned that the basic orientation of the school's future development can be summarized as two "new": the new era and the new technology. "The new era is the basic historical orientation for us to plan the development of the school's cause, and new technologies are the basic coordinates for deepening the connotative development of the school."

Xiong Foxi was one of the pioneers and founders of Chinese drama and the first president of the Shanghai Theater Academy. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Theater Academy and the 120th anniversary of Mr. Xiong Foxi's birth, for which the 2020 version of the original drama "Xiong Fuxi" was officially premiered on the school's celebration day, and will soon be performed in Fengcheng, Jiangxi, Xiong Foxi's hometown. At the same time, the Xiong Foxi exhibition will also be exhibited at the Huashan Road campus and online at the same time

In the history of modern Chinese theater education, Xiong Foxi is an unavoidable name. After returning from Harvard University in the United States in 1926, Mr. Xiong Foxi devoted his life to drama education, and successively engaged in theater education in Beijing, Hebei, Sichuan, Shanghai and other places. In the early 1930s, the peasant drama movement he carried out in Dingxian County, Hebei Province, had a very far-reaching impact, and during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the peasants in Dingxian County resisted to the death in the face of powerful invaders, and scholars believe that their awakening consciousness and patriotic feelings were greatly related to the enlightenment and edification of drama.

The drama "Xiong Foxi" will focus on the last sixteen years of Mr. Xiong Foxi's life, from May 1949, when he led teachers and students to welcome the liberation of Shanghai to his death in October 1965, Xiong Lao left the most brilliant career and years of his life in the play, and wrote a new chapter in Chinese drama education.
It is worth mentioning that the main creators of this version of "Xiong Foxi" are all alumni of the play. Xiong Mengchu, the grandson of Xiong Foxi, served as the director of the play. Yin Zhusheng, an alumnus of the opera and a performance artist, played Foxy Xiong in the play. And the general director Xiong Yuanwei has also been personally taught by the old dean Xiong Foxi, he said: Xiong Foxi in the play (also in my heart), the drama, the embrace of the drama without reason; the care for teachers and students, without thinking; the frankness of the world, without concealment; the vision, the practice of omnipotent.

On the day of the school celebration, the Film and Television School of Shanghai Theater Academy was officially renamed as the Film School of Shanghai Theater Academy, and a series of activities were also launched at the new campus of Changlin Road, including the unveiling ceremony of Shanghai Theater Academy Reed Film Screenwriting Studio, Wang Xingjun Film Director Art Studio, Wu Yigong Book Donation Ceremony, Shanghai Theater Academy Film Academy PT Program Expert Appointment Ceremony and 2020 Film Academy Education Forum, etc
Although it is newly listed, for the opera, in a sense, there is a film department in the initial period of the "return" of the play, with the famous director Zhang Junxiang as the director. Since its establishment in 1945, although the Shanghai Theater Academy has only officially established a film major for a few years, it has actually been the film education center in southern China, and has a pivotal position in the history of Chinese film development.
The new Changlin Road Campus was also unveiled on this celebration day. The Changlin Road Campus is located in Minhang District and includes the Film School, the Creative College, and the School of Continuing Education. From Huashan Road to Lianhua Road to Hongqiao Road to Changlin Road, Shangju not only expands the campus, but also promotes the connotation of art higher education.

On the school celebration day, the theater is full of festive atmosphere, and the opening of the two college bookstores adds to the joy.
Located at the entrance of Huashan Road, the Shangxi Art Bookstore is bustling with people all day long, and the aroma of coffee and books fills the French-style sycamore-lined Huashan Road. In the future, the bookstore will mainly be based on the fields of theater, film and television, contemporary art, taking into account history, philosophy and humanities, and through various forms of scholars' lectures, art salons, performance activities, etc., to create a comprehensive art bookstore, creating a unique cultural exchange space for art lovers from all walks of life.
The same is true of Foxi College, which is located on the new campus on Changlin Road. These two cultural spaces will not only have the fragrance of books, but also will be active in drama and other artistic elements, providing opera cases for the construction of new cultural spaces and art spaces. Previously, as one of the series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the school, the World Theatre School Principals Forum opened on the evening of October 28 at the Shanghai Theatre New Space Theatre. Through online and offline linkage, the forum invited the principals of major theater art colleges in various countries to discuss the theme of "post-epidemic era and art education".

The Department of Stage Arts celebrated the birthday of its alma mater today with a "conference + exhibition". The opening ceremony of the 2020 International Stage Art Education Conference and the series of exhibitions "Seeing Again and Symbiosis" was held on November 25 in the vestibule of the Shanghai Opera Experimental Theater. The conference will also be composed of three parts: "Methods and Exploration - International Stage Art Education Forum", "Internationalization and Nationality - The 7th International Stage Master Forum", and "Reading Space - Hu Miaosheng Stage Art Theory Seminar".
