Not only that, but it is also a symbol of auspiciousness, sacredness, imperial power, and a representative of supreme power and power. In the traditional concept of the ancients, the creature of the dragon can be compared with the "immortal".
Since ancient times, the culture of the dragon has been deeply rooted in the soul and blood of the country. And the legends about dragons are also numerous. For example, during the Battle of the Yellow Emperor Xuanyou, ying long helped the Yellow Emperor defeat the legend of Xuan you. There is also the legend of the emperor ascending to heaven by dragon. There is also the legend of the Dragon King of the Four Seas and so on.
So, does the dragon really only exist in myths and legends?
Looking through the historical documents, we can find that in addition to some legends about dragons, there are also some amazing dragon sighting records.
1. The Record of the Dragon

Fishermen who thought there was a storm at sea stepped out of the cabin and saw a surprising scene. What caught his eye was a "fire dragon" soaring into the sky, and this thing was surrounded by flames, raging in the sky like a real dragon.
Looking at the giant creatures as large as the roof ridge and full of bright scales, the fishermen were shocked. As the "fire dragon" continues to rage, the boats where the fishermen are located begin to crumbling. At the moment of life and death, the fishermen plucked up the courage to take out the oars and swing them hard at the "fire dragon"
I don't know if the "fire dragon" in front of me was seriously injured, or whether it was just an illusion of the fishermen. The "fire dragon" that was hit by the fishermen suddenly fell into the water and swam away quickly. The astonished fisherman had not yet completely calmed down, but found a shining bead on the deck. After taking a closer look, I found that it was a night pearl like a pebble
The fisherman pondered that it should be a fireball that fangcai's "fire dragon" spat out of its mouth, and it did not know whether it was the legendary dragon ball. Unfortunately, the fishermen did not pass on this "Dragon Ball" as an heirloom, but sold it as a night pearl.
Of course, no matter how true this record or story is, for the vast majority of people, it is still a joke of "not seeing is not true". Because obviously, there is no relevant evidence for the authenticity of such a story. The protagonist of the story is only one fisherman, and the physical evidence of the "Dragon Ball" has no whereabouts in the end, and the witness record of this dragon is not very authentic.
In this way, some people are even more confused, is there no more reliable dragon witness record? In fact, in addition to the folklore, there are indeed some dragon sightings recorded in the main history.
Second, according to the loading in the "Liao Shi Taizu Benji", it is said that the Liao Taizu Yelü Abaoji hunted a black dragon in the West Building when he was five years old in the Divine Book, and then said that the dragon bone was hidden in the Inner Palace. Originally, this was just a dragon eyewitness recorded in the main history as before, but the interesting thing is that the matter of Liao Taizu's dragon hunting is not "isolated evidence".
3. Yingkou fell dragon
On August 8, 1934, near the liaohe river in Yingkou city, Liaoning Province, a suspected dragon creature was discovered by local farmers, causing an uproar. The incident caused a great sensation, when many witnesses saw the dragon stranded and seemed to be dying. Not long after that, the dragon disappeared, and by the time it reappeared for the second time, the dragon had turned into a "skeleton". It is said that this incident was also fully documented by the Shengjing Shibun, a Japanese-funded newspaper published in the Kanto region at the time. Some of these photos and text can still be seen today.
It is said that in The Temple of Ruilong-ji in The Nagasu District of Osaka City, Japan, a specimen of a real dragon is preserved. Judging from its size, it appears to be a juvenile dragon. It is said that in the fourth year of Meiji, the Japanese brought it back from China.
Nevertheless, the author is skeptical about the authenticity of this dragon. After all, this is a specimen made more than three hundred years ago, and it is theoretically entirely possible that it was forged.
