Yancheng Sheyang entrepreneur "famous tailor" went to the countryside to expand the "poultry" road

In early spring, Tread Qing walked into a large-scale chicken farm in Linhai Farm in Sheyang County, Jiangsu Province. Inside the chicken coop, I saw a beautiful and fashionable woman who was quick and skilled at picking eggs, which made people feel surprised and confused.

"She's the huo boss of this chicken farm!" A young man next to him, who was also busy picking up eggs, proudly introduced. It turned out that the person in front of him was Huo Yun, who left the comfortable urban environment and insisted on rural entrepreneurship.

Huo Yun, who lives in the county town and is not confused, and her husband Chen Quan once had a more exquisite tailoring skill, especially in hand-sewn suits, which is a well-known brand in Sheyang County, and when she was looking for her family to sew clothes, she had to arrange in advance, often two or three months to get ready-to-wear.

However, the world is uncertain, with the rise of clothing industrialization, people are no longer willing to bother to buy fabrics, tailor-made, customized clothing, but have poured into shopping malls and brand clothing stores to choose and buy. As a result, Huo Yun's clothing store business gradually faded.

"It won't work like this!" Huo Yun, who was accustomed to being busy, consulted with her husband to find a new way out. In fact, there are many opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in the county, and the change of career is not difficult for the couple, but repeated comparisons have never determined a project that satisfies them. Once, people from my hometown gossiped that someone in the village had made a fortune by raising chickens. Huo Yun was intrigued, but she knew where there was a place for her to raise chickens in a densely populated and land-tight county. Coincidentally, during this period, there was an abandoned school building in the remote part of the nongken linhai farm, and Huo Yun and his wife rushed to investigate, thinking that it was indeed a good place that could be used for large-scale chicken raising, and the fly in the ointment was that it was more than 40 kilometers away from the county seat.

"Too far away, so I moved my family here." Huo Yun persuaded her husband and signed a long-term lease contract with the lessee.

In the spring of 2008, Huo Yun took out more than 200,000 yuan of savings, and together with her husband, he took the quilt bag, left the bustling and comfortable county town, and came to the sparsely populated countryside on the shore of the Yellow Sea, learning to raise chickens from scratch.

Starting a business is tough. Renovate school buildings, add facilities, hire masters, book seedlings, buy feed, which one should not spend money on? The money was not enough, and Huo Yun used the house in the county town as collateral to take a loan. After several months of hard work, 10,000 seedling chickens entered.

Over the past few years, although Huo Yunjia Chicken Farm has experienced the ups and downs of bird flu and egg prices, especially in the spring of 2012 due to careless epidemic prevention, resulting in the total destruction of nearly 30,000 adult chickens and the loss of nearly one million yuan, the couple never gave up and insisted on falling there and getting up there. In breeding, more attention is paid to the use of new technologies and refined management, which effectively improves the survival rate of seedling chickens and the egg production rate of adult chickens, so that the chicken farm can be revived and has been better developed. At present, the chicken farm has about 50,000 chickens in the stock all year round, and can lay more than 2,500 kilograms of eggs per day.

A bittersweet and a reward. Because Huo Yun's chicken place is raised in the grass chicken that people like, the egg is good, the market is wide, and the eggs and old chickens have long been booked by market brokers in Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou and other places, and have achieved better benefits. From the "famous tailor" in the county to the "big chicken farmer" in the countryside, Huo Yun's entrepreneurial spirit and temperament of "loving beauty and chasing fashion" have become the benchmark for local young women to catch up with school.
