Gao Jie believes that the development of traditional Chinese medicine is a specific action to implement the "Healthy China" strategy, an effective way to make up for the shortcomings of health, and an inevitable requirement for improving the quality of national life. However, at present, the development of traditional Chinese medicine is still facing problems such as large regional differences, low economic benefits, and Western medicine in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, and it is necessary to properly formulate the development direction, follow the development law of traditional Chinese medicine to build an institutional system, do a good job in talent training, and vigorously promote the culture of traditional Chinese medicine to form a social trend.

"There are many TCM undertakings that need to be further expanded." Gao Jie introduced at the forum site that the solution of problems such as lack of inheritors and lack of industrialization is related to the long-term development of traditional Chinese medicine.

In response to this problem, Gao Jie suggested that the whole chain from research and development, production to listing can be opened up in the landing and industrialization of traditional Chinese medicine projects. She believes that it is necessary to solve the process problem in order to make Chinese medicine better serve the people on a large scale and effect.

Regarding the coordinated development of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, Gao Jie said that Chinese medicine should give full play to its own advantages in the "treatment of diseases" link, do a good job in the promotion of Chinese medicine culture and the popularization of Chinese medicine knowledge, so that the people can manage their own health status through the adjustment of diet and living habits in daily life, and achieve the combination of "prevention" and "treatment". The construction of hardware such as the academic exchange platform for traditional Chinese medicine, the standardized training mechanism, the township traditional Chinese medicine service position and the traditional Chinese medicine hospital should also keep up with the needs of the development of traditional Chinese medicine.

The development of traditional Chinese medicine is also inseparable from its own innovation, Gao Jie pointed out that the scientific research and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine urgently needs to give full play to the initiative of traditional Chinese medicine talents through methods such as achievement project establishment, title evaluation, salary system reform, etc., and encourage innovation.

"Only by truly excavating, inheriting and protecting China's own TCM culture and developing our own TCM cause can our traditional medicine be better able to go abroad and go to the world." Gao Jie said that the development of traditional Chinese medicine should not only protect the inheritors, but also open up the industrial chain, create good conditions for the transformation of innovative achievements, and finally give full play to the important role of traditional Chinese medicine in the construction of a healthy China.
