The epidemic in 2020 has caused the Hong Kong film industry to lose a number of mainstays in the industry in a short period of time, including director Chen Musheng, which can be described as a regret of the entire industry. In 2021, when the epidemic is gradually easing, the film center also hopes to boost the morale of the cinema peers who are still in the post-epidemic period through the release of director Chen Musheng's posthumous work "Fury And Serious Cases", and work with fans and audiences to recall this gentle-looking but tough-style director. To this end, the curatorial team of Beijing Broadway Film Center, with the theme of "Life is Like a Sending , No Regrets for You", specially selected Director Chen Musheng's debut work "Heavenly Love" released in 1990 and the newly released posthumous work "Anger and Serious Case" in 2021, with these two masterpieces spanning 30 years at the beginning and end, expressing deep nostalgia to the departed Si people.

"Heavenly Love" not only made director Chen Musheng and starring Andy Lau, it was also very important for another actor, Wu Mengda, who died in February this year. In 1991, Wu Mengda won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in "Heavenly Love" and "Tai Bao", which is also the only time he has won in dozens of nominations. To this day, when I see Wu Mengda's familiar voice and smile on the big screen again, many viewers are still moved to tears.

Actor Tian Qiwen is Wu Mengda's long-time friend, and the two have created an extremely rich supporting role image in Stephen Chow's movies. After the screening of "Heavenly Love", Tian Qiwen interacted with the audience in the form of online, telling many stories of Wu Mengda's life and recalling their unforgettable past in work and life. In his emotional narration, we feel his deep miss for his friend Wu Mengda.

Tian Qiwen shared the story of Hong Kong filmmakers on the spot

As an industry peer who entered the industry at the same time as Chen Musheng and experienced the development of the Hong Kong film industry together, Tian Qiwen is also familiar with the experience of director Chen Musheng. Through his narration, we learned the story behind how director Chen Musheng was a newcomer who joined the set from a young age, tirelessly worked hard for more than 30 years, until he became a mainstay of the Hong Kong film industry. After the "Heavenly Love" event, many viewers continued to watch the second screening of "Fury And Serious Cases".

Through the continuous screening of these two new and old films, we can see the transformation of director Chen Musheng from the film style of 30 years of film. From "Heavenly Love" to "Fury, Serious Case", their works have become the youth memories of generations of people. When the Si people passed away, their images were the best memorial left for the audience. This event not only allowed the audience to relive the superb performance of "golden supporting role" Wu Mengda from the screen, feel the enduring charm of Director Chen Musheng's works, but also let us deeply appreciate their firmness, dedication and love for film creation.
