As a medical worker and a grassroots disease control officer, Liu Yali received the information on January 21 that "the first confirmed case in Guiyang City is a resident of Guanshanhu District", she gave up her vacation for the first time and quickly returned to work on duty for 24 hours. After the Guiyang Municipal Disease Control Special Class issued a task notice and requested nucleic acid testing for close contacts of the first confirmed case, she did not hesitate to sign up to participate in the nucleic acid testing task. "When receiving the task, it is impossible to say that you are not afraid, and there is a risk of infection when collecting specimens," Liu Yali said, "although specimen disposal and nucleic acid extraction are the most dangerous links, every step of operation must be careful and meticulous." But I believe in my own ability, and since I have chosen this job, I should take responsibility and must successfully complete the sampling task while doing a good job of self-protection."
As the epidemic situation becomes severe, especially after guizhou military parade international hotel became the first municipal Hubei tourist designated reception hotel on January 27, Liu Yali's work task became more arduous and heavy. She and all the members of the sampling team must be on duty 24 hours a day, on the one hand, she goes to the military parade hotel to do the daily temperature detection and nucleic acid sampling of Hubei tourists, and on the other hand, she also needs to carry out nucleic acid sampling and sample delivery of suspected cases, confirmed cases and close contacts of new crown pneumonia in the whole region. Because every sample and every test result can affect the deployment of epidemic prevention and control, every inspector is "racing against time". "I remember that there was a shortage of materials at that time, in order to complete the sampling task as soon as possible, everyone did not drink water as much as possible before the sampling work, so as to avoid the waste of materials caused by going to the toilet." Liu Yali recalled.

Since the Spring Festival last year, Liu Yali has successively participated in the collection of tens of thousands of nucleic acid specimens from suspects, close contacts, Hubei returnees, personnel resuming work and production, medical personnel, teachers, and students in the whole region. From 9 a.m. to early morning, wearing airtight protective clothing, walking 5 or 6 construction sites a day, "wet clothes, numb hands, sore legs, blistering feet..." became the norm, but she never cried out tired, always silently and dutifully completed every job. She often told everyone, "This is not only my responsibility, but also my choice, the stranglehold marks on my face, the calluses on my hands, are my "medals" for becoming an "anti-epidemic fighter". ”
