F+NBW is a hair salon located in Qujiang Hanhuacheng, Xi'an. The space is small, and the walls that can be seen are load-bearing structures that cannot be changed, and the floor height is sufficient, so the universal steel structure appears again. Through the concrete poured wall, the overall feeling is visualized and formalized, creating a clean and stylish space atmosphere. The entrance side is adjacent to the concrete wall, but the designers did not shy away from it, but whitewashed the whole to echo it.
The large area of reflection, reflection, and light transmission materials make this space of less than 100 square meters have an infinite sense of space penetration, making the built space have a better sense of space, not just more area. In the waiting area, gray sofas are placed, and this calm color is combined to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for customers in the waiting area. The designer cleverly used the space layout to design a cylindrical cat house opposite, so that the waiting customers will not be bored.
The mezzanine created required a pillar to become a load-bearing structure, and because of this pillar downstairs, it was a highlight of this design. In order to weaken the pillar, the designer used a ring of glass to enclose it, used this space to make a pet space - cat house, and changed the pillar into a climbing frame for fortune cats.
The second-floor area is divided by using the original floor height, and the advantage of the floor height is used to increase the longitudinal continuity, so that the space adds more flexible feeling. The lighting system at the top and sides provides soft illumination of the overall space through diffuse reflections from white walls.
