We are all "heart guests"

author:Film and human nature

The French film Asphalte (2015) shows the lonely and lonely side of human nature, but it is probably not right to say that its main purpose is so. Of course, the reason why this film will be interpreted in this way may be related to the "plot summary" it is placed on the Internet, such as the belief that after several pairs of characters in the movie meet, "all they tell is the scales of the body after the lonely bombardment". In fact, this is a misleading, the three pairs of characters shown in this film do have "telling" after they meet, and the narration is also after the "lonely bombardment", but the content of the story is not "scaled all over the body". Loneliness in human nature does make people eager to be close to each other, so we can easily open the door to strangers, but our "atrium" is difficult to really open, even if there are "all over the body", it will never be completely honest, just because each of us has something to hide; although sometimes, we will call it "dignity", but more often, it is actually for convenience or to save trouble.

We are all "heart guests"

We may wish to explain the above problem from the following logic: First, how do lonely people form? On the surface, the wheelchair man refused to pay the elevator fee on the grounds that he never used an elevator on the second floor of his home, so that he isolated himself from everyone; the loneliness of the teenager was created by family reasons, although it was supervised, but it was useless; the loneliness of the female movie star can be said to be the result of social cruelty; the Arab woman was forced to live alone because of her son's infidelity; the loneliness of the astronaut and the nurse was formed by their respective professions. While the reasons for the loneliness of these characters are varied, that is only superficial inference, and the real reason may be far from simple. For example, the overdated actress, always walking around in a bathrobe, can you say that her loneliness is entirely due to the cruelty of society? The wheelchair man who was forced to come out at night to find a vending machine to buy food, and was so upset about a failed deal, refused to share the elevator fee, do you dare to say that it was not because of poverty? So, the above can make us form the impression that loneliness seems to be rooted in human nature, but the causes of loneliness are different; the same loneliness can be explained differently.

Second, how do they break this loneliness? Since it is easy for people to be lonely, the pain of loneliness necessarily forces people to seek contact with each other. So, when the female movie star could not enter the door, the teenager opened the door of his own room to her; the wheelchair man was going home in frustration, and the nurse gave him a warm word of care, and from then on, the exchange between the two of them in front of the hospital door every night became a lonely comfort to each other; the Arab woman kindly opened the door of convenience to the astronauts, obviously because of loneliness. Of course, being close to each other does not mean that loneliness can be relieved, just like the two partners who meet the young man when he returns home and meets the building entrance, they are always only polite greetings without a substantive exchange, and it is useless for the lifting of loneliness. Therefore, in addition to being close to each other, there must be a desire to communicate, which is the next step to relieve loneliness, just as the lock can not be opened by the locksmith, and the people who can open the door are not necessarily willing to enter the door, what is the reason why the three pairs of characters in this film have the desire to further communicate? Based on some of the details in the film, we can roughly speculate that the teenager is willing to open the door to the female movie star because of the lack of maternal love, the female nurse sends care to the wheelchair man because of the search for love, and the Arab woman's care for the astronaut may be a kind of "empathy".

Third, what is the result of breaking the loneliness. After breaking the loneliness, they became acquainted, but they were not completely open to each other. The teenager did not even want to tell the movie star his name, and even said that his parents were dead and was waiting for the adoption of others, and although the movie star told the teenager the truth, when she said her identity, the teenager did not believe it at all, and a smile seemed to indicate that he thought that the other party was lying like him. Even later, the teenager helped the movie star choose the script line to rehearse, which was about the dialogue between mother and son, although he did not seem so blunt when he called her mother, but she seemed so uncomfortable, indicating that she could not accept such a "son" in her heart; when the wheelchair man lied about his profession, and the female nurse answered him, it is difficult to say that it is true. Although he finally revealed his true identity and intentions in order to thank her for wearing a bright dress to cooperate with him, it seemed to her to win her a smile; when the astronaut first entered the old Arab woman's house, the guard was very obvious, and when she was asked about her son, she also concealed the truth, although there was a communication barrier between them because of the language barrier, but it is conceivable that even if the language is the same, she will not tell him the truth, after all, it is not a glorious thing to be imprisoned in any country. It can be seen that even if they can enter the room, even if they can get close to each other, even if they are so eager to communicate, there is still a gap between them, and if this gap reflects the normal state of human interaction, then we can only be the "heart of the house" of others.

Finally, an explanation about the sound of that dumpster door. Different people always have different views on the same thing, which is an important cause of differences and estrangement between people. The same sound sounds like a demon to religious people, a child's cry to nurses, and a circus's lost tiger's roar to a child's nature. Since human beings cannot achieve the same cognition in such a small matter, it is only natural to make people feel the same, so that we are all "heart guests" and there is nothing to complain about. In addition, in order to avoid each other for unnecessary trouble caused by "differences and estrangement", it seems that it is also allowed to hide from each other, and the door of the garbage bin seems to be a metaphor for the door of the atrium, because we all have those "ulterior" "garbage" in our hearts, and this door, when opened, will cause chaos and close the world at peace. So, no matter where you are, you'd better be a guest, so why do you have to know everything about your host?
