Zhuangzi once said such a story:

Uncle Zhi Li and Uncle Shui Jie played on the hills of Mu Bo and in the void of Kunlun, which was once the place where the Yellow Emperor rested.

After a while, a tumor grew on Uncle Slipper's left elbow, and he was terrified and disgusted with it.

Uncle Zhi asked, "Do you hate this thing?" ”

Uncle Shusuke said, "No, how can I hate it, the living form is formed by the help of all things; everything that is generated under the pretense of other things is like the aggregation and accumulation of dust particles for a time." Man's death and life are like alternating day and night, and since you and I observe the changes in heaven and earth, and now that this change has come to me, how can I hate it? ”

Ordinary people take worldly changes as changes, and on the basis of these changes in things, they establish their own discriminating minds, and this gives rise to attachment. Under the nature of human nature to seek advantage and avoid harm, excessive attachment is paranoia, and the pain and misfortune of life are produced in this paranoia.

The cause of pain is because of one's own emotions, and the cause of misfortune is because of the wrong choices one has made.

When we cannot understand that all things come from nature, we classify things in different states of good and bad with our subjective consciousness.

When external things do not meet their expectations for life, that is, when they do not meet the standard formed by their own inner worldliness, they will produce depression and pain; but when external things satisfy their own needs, they will be proud of themselves, and thus they will have the misfortune of forgetting their forms.

In short, the worldly foolishness and shallow view can never surpass the harm caused by attachment to life, as long as your paranoia exists, no matter what circumstances you encounter in life, all the blessings and losses will make you feel pain, and it will also be a loss and consumption for you.

Because your thoughts are the source of karmic obstacles, all karmic obstacles exist at the same time, you need to pay for your own karmic obstacles.

So the wisdom derived from this is that if a person cannot escape his own obsession, then he will always be a prisoner of fate.

Because although there are many things in life caused by objective rules, we cannot change objective rules, but we can decide our attitude towards objective rules, which will also dominate the development direction of life at a large level.

Therefore, if a person cannot escape his own obsession, he will be determined by his subconscious attachment to his attitude and choices when facing problems, and life is the result of countless choices piled up, so outside the objective rules, it is not so much that we are imprisoned by fate, but rather that our own thoughts affect our attitude when facing problems.

In this state, if you don't change your attachment mind, how can you jump out of the predicament you are in?

From another point of view, many tragedies of life are ultimately tragedies of fate, because we cannot control the direction of fate, but it is precisely because we cannot control it that we have to revise our thinking on a larger level and avoid becoming victims of fate again.

A person's greatness does not lie in how much achievement he can achieve under the care of fate, but in the fact that when fate does not give you favor, he can still break through the shackles of fate, use his wisdom to awaken his thoughts, and create a greater life.

And the essence of opening wisdom is first of all to be able to jump out of your own attachment, because if you don't even have a correct value, then how can you correctly judge your life? If you always take the wrong cognition to measure the right and wrong of the event, how can you get the right result?

So what is the answer that comes out of one's own obsession?

In fact, it is the sentence that Zhuangzi said: "The living form is only formed by means of external objects; everything that is generated under the guise of other things is like the aggregation and accumulation of dust particles for a time." Human death and life are like alternating day and night. ”

Everything in life comes from nature, and the Buddhist words are called "cause and effect", while the Taoists say it is "like the aggregation and accumulation of dust particles over time".

Many things in life are created by subjective and objective factors, the heavens and the earth are naturally the Tao itself, and the Tao has no relatives and distances, let alone subjective distinctions, and when the Tao nurtures and generates all things, everything is out of "no heart".

Therefore, the wisdom that is closest to the essence of nature is the Taoist inaction, and only by facing this inaction nature with a ruthless and mindless mind is the closest to the wisdom realm of the Tao.

Even in the face of life and death in the world, it can be regarded as the normal feelings of people, and it will not be sad and sad for the sake of the temporary glory and loss in life, and truly go with the flow.

This wisdom has already been expressed in the second chapter of the Tao Te Ching, which is called: Everyone in the world knows that beauty is beautiful, and evil is evil; everyone knows that good is good, and Si is not good.

The meaning of this sentence is that everyone in the world knows that the reason why beauty is beautiful, the concept of ugliness is formed; everyone knows that the reason why good is good, and they know what is not good.

We are all judging the life we face from a secular point of view, and we enjoy it, but if we only know how to take the world's point of view to demand some life that is originally born out of nature, then how can we go beyond the world and better control life?

Therefore, only by being able to let go of one's own paranoia and truly realize the sentence: "All things are done without resignation, born without being, for the sake of not being ashamed, and the success of the buddha dwells, and the husband lives only in the buddha." It is the wisdom of not going" that can understand all things from the heart out of nature, so that on this basis, a correct attitude can be shaped to face one's own life.
