On July 24th, the Chinese Society of Automation organized the "Independent controllable DCS System Development Based on Domestic Hardware and Software and Demonstration Application on 660MW Ultra-Supercritical Units" in the form of "live + video" in four main (sub)venues in Beijing and Nanjing. The project, jointly undertaken by Datang Nanjing Power Plant, Datang Group Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. East China Electric Power Test and Research Institute, and Nanjing Keyuan Smart Technology Group Co., Ltd., successfully passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.

2010-2019 / Embark on layout, key breakthroughs

2020 / Demonstration Application

On March 11, it applied for datang group's key scientific and technological projects to solve the "card neck" problem, and carried out technical research and demonstration applications with the goal of DCS and DEH control systems of 660MW ultra-supercritical units of Datang Nanjing Power Plant No. 2;

On May 9, the company completed the compilation of dcs and controllable technical specifications and technical standards for datang Nanjing power plant;

On October 21, Datang Nanjing Power Plant HVAC System, DCS autonomous controllable controller pilot;

On November 9, Datang Nanjing Thermal Power Co., Ltd. replenishment water system, DCS autonomous controllable controller pilot;

On November 18, the engineering design of DCS independent controllable system of Datang Nanjing Power Plant was completed.

2021 / Successful commissioning

On January 15, the design, optimization and simulation test of DCS autonomous control scheme of Datang Nanjing Power Plant were completed;

On May 6, the demonstration application project of the completely autonomous and controllable intelligent control system of The No. 2 ultra-supercritical unit of Datang Nandian Power Plant was successfully put into operation and stable operation.

Appraisal certificate of scientific and technological achievements

The main innovations of the project:

1) Based on the controller dual-core parallel computing environment, the network security algorithm is built into the controller, and the multi-protocol parallel communication and encryption authentication technology are used to improve the security protection capabilities of the DCS system and pass the Achilles secondary certification.

2) Based on the open source RHEMS, the autonomous embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) with high real-time performance has been developed, which has realized the porting and application of multiple platforms such as ARM, PowerPC, MIPS, etc., and provides strong support for the development of high-real-time application functions such as network security and DEH control.

3) Developed a real-time synchronous scheduling strategy to achieve redundant synchronous operation between different architecture controllers (DPUs), avoid common failures caused by redundant system failures, and improve the flexibility of the supply chain.

4) A method of rapidly adjusting the oscillation frequency of the power supply chip according to the feedback voltage is proposed, and a highly reliable switching power supply with ultra-wide voltage input range is developed.

5) Developed a semi-physical simulation system for dynamic verification of control strategies in a static environment, which is used to analyze and optimize control system strategies and shorten the on-site debugging time.

This project is the first application of the autonomous controllable DCS system based on 100% domestic devices and all independent control of the source code in China.

Under the meticulous organization of Datang Nanjing Power Plant, Datang East China Electric Power Test and Research Institute and Keyuan Wisdom, the project demonstration application completed the full-scale transformation of 660MW ultra-supercritical units including DEH and ETS within 22 days, and was successfully put into operation at one time, creating a new record for the replacement of DCS transformation period of the same type of unit. Datang East China Electric Power Test and Research Institute invested elite forces, based on the control strategy and optimization algorithm accumulated over the years, carefully configured and meticulously debugged, and played a key role in the technical lead unit. Since the system was put into operation, the operation has been stable and reliable, the control performance is excellent, and the social and economic benefits are remarkable.

Appraisal experts agree that it can be further promoted on various types of thermal power units (including 1000MW secondary reheat units).

The successful convening of the appraisal meeting completed the authoritative appraisal of "independent controllable DCS system development based on domestic software and hardware and demonstration application on 660MW ultra-supercritical units", which is of great significance to solving the urgent problem of independent control of major equipment, ensuring national energy security, and ensuring that core major equipment is not controlled by people.
