The film is based on true events. An accident causes Lao Yu (Gao Qiang) to lose his legs, and the rest of his life will be spent in bed, and after his mother's death, Lao Yu is taken over by his sister Qiu Hong (Yu Yuexian). Lao Yu has always been in a mood of self-blame because he feels that he is dragging his mother and sister down, and he is obsessed with designing a vehicle that can carry him out of the house, but no one believes that the complex drawings will be transformed into physical objects.

By chance, a cute Labrador dog came to Lao Yu's home by mistake, although he often complained that this little guy was disobedient and loved to cause trouble, but over time, Lao Yu and the puppy had already established trust and friendship. After unremitting efforts, Lao Yu's scooter was finally completed, and the puppy acted as a coachman every day to pull Lao Yu to the town to set up stalls to repair electrical appliances, and then pulled Lao Yu home in the evening.
