"Elf Mouse Brother" is the first film by E· B. White's first fairy tale. The protagonist of the book is a little boy named Stewart, who is about two inches tall, looks like a mouse, wears a gray hat, and holds a small civilization stick.
This is a book for children about growth, and it is also a book for children about emotions!

Affection

Stewart was the second child of the Littler family. Although the whole family did not expect to have a child like a mouse, they never wanted to abandon him. Although there are many accidents that happen every day, no one has ever complained.
The whole family loves this little guy very much. Dad made him a small bed out of four clothes clips and a cigarette case, Mom made him beautiful clothes, Brother George almost pried up all the floors with a hammer and screwdriver to find him, and the whole family even replaced all the lyrics of the song about "rats" with "geckos" to "geckos" so as not to make Stewart feel uncomfortable.
Although Stewart is small, he is a good helper for the whole family. He helped his mother pick up the ring that had fallen in the drain, helped his father pick up the ping-pong ball that rolled under the chair, and helped his brother George fix the keys.
Stewart also loved his family so much that after he decided to leave the house to find his friends, he deliberately took one of his mother's hairs.
Little's house is a place to feel happy and a place to feel loved. Such a place can cultivate children who are kind, brave, confident and optimistic like Stewart.

camaraderie

The bird Margallo is a beautiful little female who was rescued home by Mrs. Little in an accident. As a result, he became good friends with Stewart.
Stewart is very fond of Margallo, and the two are not only good friends, but also each other's saviors. Dragging his sick body, Stewart defeats the cat who is going to hurt Margallo, while Margallo saves Stewart, who nearly died in a garbage truck.
Margallo loves the Littles, and she is willing to live with them. But one day, in order to avoid the cat's injury, she had to leave the Little family and fly north.
Stuart is heartbroken and decides to leave the house to look for Margallo. He drove a toy car on the road, and there were many thrills and interesting things along the way, but he never had timidity or regret but was determined to go all the way.
I love what Stuart thought when he looked for Margallo: I want to find her while I am looking for my own happiness. Hopeful and not paranoid.

Love

On his way to find Margallo, Stewart meets a beautiful girl about his height, Hartley. This got Stewart so excited that he wrote a letter asking for a date.
In the letter he describes his origins this way:
I am a medium-sized young man. I was born in New York, but I'm currently on a long journey to a final friend. My travels have taken me to your hometown.
Describe yourself like this:
The only thing I lack is that I look a bit like a mouse. But I'm well-proportioned. And I'm muscular, older than my age.
And his reason for dating was: We were similar in size.
In order to have a pleasant date, Stewart prepared a small stroke and carefully prepared every part of the date.
But after a long and grinding wait, Stuart's elaborate date had an accident. The little scratch was broken and completely unusable. Stewart was very upset. Although Harriet thought they could keep dating, Stewart said goodbye to Harriet.
This may be the love of young people, which comes violently and unexpectedly, but it cannot resist any small blows.
The stories in the book are wonderful and warm. There is selfless affection, precious friendship, and love that is ignorant but doomed to no results. These are all things that you will experience in the process of growing up, and they are also indispensable emotions!
There may be regrets, but this is growth, this is life, so please cherish what you have now!
