On the evening of July 1, when I walked out of the theater after watching "1921", I found myself more excited and emotional than I thought.
In the current time and space, compatriots are cheering and celebrating online, and the whole world is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
In the summer of 100 years ago, the average group of classmates and teenagers who were only 28 years old on average were overcoming all difficulties and gathering together to go through the difficult years and strive to pursue the new China and the new world.
The most surprising thing about "1921" is that it "does not take shortcuts" -
Obviously, we can shoot step by step, but we insist on telling us a more real 1921 that may be different from what many people think;
Obviously, we can focus on the big celebrities who are well-known, but we are very patient to let us know many ancestors who did not know much before, but also made historical contributions to the arrival of new China.
Whether it is Li Da, Wang Huiwu and his wife who have the most dramas, or Liu Renjing, Wang Gemei, Deng Enming... These names, which were not later best known, were vividly interpreted in 1921.
The old mistake that many historical films are prone to make is to act out great men into myths floating in the sky.
And in "1921", we see a group of ancestors who are grounded enough -
They also have appetites, such as Mao Runzhi wants to eat chili peppers everywhere he goes; they also have sweet love, such as Li Da and Wang Huiwu's newlywed Yan'er "sprinkling dog food".
More importantly, they were not so "talkative": they accepted the help of the Communist International, but they were able to firmly defend the independence of the Chinese Communist Party; they gathered together for the same goal, and they also quarreled over divergent ideas.
It was this group of young people with personality, enthusiasm, ideals and dignity who jointly founded the Communist Party of China in the summer of 1921.
And perhaps they did not realize at the time that this day will completely affect the tomorrow of China and even the world.
"1921" is like a cross-section, presenting the complex and dangerous situation at home and abroad and this group of enthusiastic young people with an average age of 28 years old.
Perhaps this is the case:
The real protagonists of "1921" are not chen duxiu, Li Dazhao, and Mao Zedong, who are the most widely known later, but the rally that opened up new hope for new China, the group of young people who came together because of a common ideal, the faint but tenacious first light that miraculously illuminated the darkness at a time when the Chinese nation was in turmoil.

When Wang Huiwu, played by Ni Ni, appeared on the big screen, my eyes lit up in an instant——
As a great woman who helped found the Chinese Communist Party and influenced new China in many ways, the name "Wang Huiwu" has been low-key for too long.
As narrated in 1921, Li Da and Wang Huiwu were important figures in the founding of the Communist Party of China. In the summer of 1921, Li Da was responsible for preparing for the CCP Congress, while his wife Wang Huiwu was in charge of the conference affairs and accommodation for the people who came to Shanghai for the meeting.
Perhaps many people do not know that it is this somewhat low-key name in history that has achieved the "red boat spirit" that we praise Acura today.
In 1921, when the Communist Party of China held a meeting at the Shikumen House on Wangzhi Road in the French Concession of Shanghai, Wang Huiwu looked at the wind outside the door for everyone, and cleverly detected the authorities' tracking and quickly organized a total evacuation;
When everyone was at a loss for the new meeting address, it was she who first proposed to go to her hometown of Jiaxing.
She volunteered to do everything for everyone, rented the red boat that later recorded historical moments, and even carefully prepared phonographs, mahjong and other hidden props on the ship.
When thirteen young people expressed their opinions on the boat, Wang Huiwu sat on the bow of the boat and watched over everyone in the smoke and rain of Jiaxing.
Looking at Wang Huiwu's life, it will be understood that the important role she played in the great congress of the CCP is by no means accidental.
This is a very brave and insightful woman:
In 1922, when the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China was convened, she held the swaddled baby and ran for everyone and looked at the wind;
She once used the pseudonym "Wang Xiaoou" and co-published the "Outline of Sociology" with Li Da, devoting herself to disseminating Marxist ideas;
She co-founded the first women's publication of the Communist Party of China, Women's Voice, opposed arranged marriages, advocated women not to tie their feet, receive education, and called for women to awaken...
What is touching is that Wang Huiwu's application to join the party was pressed by Chen Duxiu on the grounds that "female party members are not accepted", and Li Da later retired from the party because of differences and contradictions with Chen Duxiu.
However, the couple's life precisely reflects the loftiness, firmness and purity of the Communist Party spirit:
She died in Beijing in 1993 at the age of 96.
She did not fail to have the opportunity to occupy a high position, but chose to spend her life away from fame and fortune. Her departure took away an important witness to the Republic and many untold stories.

On that summer day in 1921, it is worth remembering not only the thirteen enthusiastic young men on the red boat, but also the wise, righteous and courageous girl at the bow of the ship.

After the release of "1921", some people asked: "Why tell the story of such a group of people?" ”
What I admire most about "1921" is this courage to tell a "different story from the imagination.".
Because, when we go back to China 100 years ago, we will see that -
At the CCP Congress, where neither Chen Duxiu nor Li Dazhao attended, this group of "unknown people" was precisely the real witnesses, even promoters, and creators of the historical moment in July 1921.
On the red boat bound for Jiaxing, they all had passionate faith, young faces and hopeful eyes.
What they talk about is not about fame and status, but about vivid and brilliant ideals, indestructible truths. Together, they firmly believe that China deserves and will usher in a better future.
It is true that in later stories, some people sacrifice, some people forget, some people miss, some people leave; but, more important than "later", it is the "original intention".
No one can cross the ages and foresee the end of their lives and histories.
But history will not forget that it was precisely such a group of young people who painted the original blueprint of new China and launched the first offensive against the old era.
After watching "1921", what makes me most unforgettable is their unwillingness and unfairness in the "present", and their vision and imagination of the "future".
Li Da tearfully told his wife that when he organized the burning of Japanese goods to protest, he found that the matches in his hand were made in Japan.
"Such a big country, but it doesn't have its own fire."
He Shuheng recalled his friend, who had worked hard to win the temple examination, but was asked to kneel and not look up.
"How sad is it that a reader cannot look up and be a man?"
The most touching thing is that Yang Kaihui asked in the movie: "Life is so short, so short that you may not see the dawn of victory." Does today's effort still make sense? ”
Mao Zedong replied, "Of course! We can't choose our own country, we can't choose our own family, but we can choose our own ideals. Fighting for ideals, dedicating oneself to the truth, even if you get nothing, is worth it. ”
Where the Tao is, though millions of people are looking forward to it.
This courage and firmness is the strength that is more worthy of today's young people than a few words in the history books.
