
Gaberto at Juventus and Turin
Guglielmo Gabetto is the only player in turin derby history to score five goals for Juventus and Turin. Born on 24 February 1916 in Turin, Italy, he played for Juventus from 1934 to 1941 and to Turin from 1941 to 1949. He was killed in the Supega air crash on May 4, 1949, at the age of 33. He made 322 appearances in Serie A, scoring 165 goals, ranking 13th in the all-time top scorers list in Serie A, making 6 appearances for the Italian national team and scoring 5 goals.
Fabio Quagliarella (Serie A veteran Quagliarella) was born on 31 January 1983 and currently plays for Sampdoria, who was the top scorer in serie A for the 2018/19 season. He debuted in the Turin academy and played for Juventus before joining Udinese in July 2005, during which time he was loaned to Fiorentina and Chieti. In August 2010, Juventus first rented and then bought from Napoli, and in July 2014, it was transferred by Juventus to the city rival Turin for 3.5 million euros, and left the team to join Sampdoria during the winter break of 2016. The 38-year-old has made 500 appearances in Serie A and scored 177 goals.
Cristian Molinaro is a left-back who was born on 30 July 1983 and is about to turn 38 and is currently returning to Serie A for Venice. Molinaro debuted in the saarentana academy and joined Juventus from Siena in the summer of 2007 before leaving for Stuttgart in Germany during the winter break in 2010. He joined Turin from Parma in the summer of 2014, where he played for four seasons before leaving in the summer of 2018 to join Frosinone. He has made 232 appearances in Serie A and scored 3 goals.
Gianluca Pessotto, retired Italian star, left-back. Born on 11 August 1970, he debuted in the Milan youth academy, joined Turin from Verona in the summer of 1994 and joined city rival Juventus at the end of the 1994/95 season, where he played until retirement. He made 275 Serie A appearances and scored 3 goals.
Pasquale Bruno, right-back, born 19 June 1962, debuted in Lecce's youth academy, joined Juventus from Como in the summer of 1987, moved to Turin after three seasons with Juventus, and left for Fiorentina in July 1993. He made 224 appearances in Serie A and scored 3 goals.
Federico Balzaretti, a former Italy international, works as a full-back. Born on 6 December 1981, he debuted in the Turin academy and joined Juventus as a free agent in the summer of 2005, playing for Juventus for two seasons before moving to Fiorentina in July 2007. He made 221 appearances in Serie A and scored 4 goals.
Nicola Amoruso (born 29 August 1974) is a striker who debuted in the Sampdoria youth academy and has twice played for Juventus, joining Parma in the summer of 1996 and leaving for Perugia in the summer of 1999. He returned to Juventus from Napoli in the summer of 2001 and joined Perugia again at the end of the season. He joined Turin from Regina in the summer of 2008 and left for Parma in the summer of 2009. He made 379 appearances in Serie A and scored 113 goals.
Ciro Immobile, an active international, is a national team striker. Born on 20 February 1990, he debuted in the Juventus youth academy and has been on loan as an adult. He was sold to Torino by Juventus for 13.5 million euros in the summer of 2013, and in the 2013/14 Serie A he was crowned top scorer with 22 goals before joining Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga for 1,850 euros. Today, he has made 260 appearances in Serie A, scoring 150 goals and winning the Serie A top scorer three times.
Emiliano Moretti is a centre-back born on 11 June 1981 who joined Juventus from Fiorentina in the summer of 2002, was loaned off by Juventus during the winter break of 2002/03 and transferred to Parma by Juventus at the end of the season. He joined Turin from Genoa in the summer of 2013 and ended his football career with Turin at the end of the 2018/19 season. He has made 2 appearances for the Italian national team and 367 serie A appearances, scoring seven goals.
Angelo Ogbonna, a former Italian international of Nigerian descent, was born on 23 May 1988 and currently plays for West Ham United in the Premier League. He debuted in the Turin youth academy and played for Juventus before joining Juventus in July 2013, during which time he was briefly loaned to Crotone. In the summer of 2015, he joined Premier League West Ham United for 11 million euros. He has made 82 appearances in Serie A.
Amauri, an Italian Brazilian striker, was selected for the Italian national team. He joined Palermo for €22.8 million in the summer of 2008 and left for Fiorentina during the 2011/12 winter break, where he was loaned to Parma, a failed transfer deal for Juventus. Amauri joined Turin as a free agent in September 20014 and was late in February 2016, with two trips to Turin being a bitter memory for him! He made 336 appearances in Serie A and scored 85 goals.
Antonio Nocerino (born 9 April 1985 in Napoli) debuted in Juventus academy and played for Juventus until July 2008, when he played for up to several teams on loan. He joined Torino in the summer of 2014, when he joined AC Milan on loan and played for Torino until the end of the winter break. Nocherino, who has turned 36, announced his retirement last January and has made 12 appearances for the Italian national team and 247 serie A appearances, scoring 21 goals.
