The surging news investigation found that the refund storm involved dozens of parents, and the cumulative amount was not less than 15 million yuan. The reporter contacted Haitian Education several times, but did not receive a reply as of press time.

According to ms. Cheng, a parent, her child is currently in her sophomore year, and because she is not satisfied with the school, she contacted Haitian Education through Henan Zhiguo Education Consulting Company, hoping to apply for other colleges and universities. After Ms. Cheng entrusted the relevant information of her children to Henan Zhiguo Education Consulting Company, they and Haitian Education docked.
Ms. Cheng said that she had visited the staff of Haitian Education, "I was worried that the children were past students and could not reapply, but Haitian Education assured them that they had internal relations and channels, could enter the school with low scores, and could get more than half of the scholarships." I thought it was okay for them to be such a big institution, so I paid the fee. ”
Ms. Cheng signed the "Hong Kong and Macao Study Abroad Service Contract" with Haitian Education.
Ms. Cheng said that on May 19, 2021, she transferred 500,000 yuan to the personal account of a person surnamed Tao of Haitian Education and signed a "Hong Kong and Macao Study Abroad Service Contract". Haitian Education said that it can allow students to enter the joint training program of well-known universities in Hong Kong, Macao and mainland China, and in addition to ensuring that students are admitted to the target institutions, the contract also promises that the tuition fees of students will be reduced by half during the undergraduate period of students enrolled in the target universities. Except for force majeure factors or personal reasons of students, if students do not apply for semi-free tuition fees, the difference will be borne by Haitian Education.
Ms. Cheng said that in August this year, she did not receive the admission letter from the target institution for a long time, and after consulting Haitian Education, she learned that the previous students needed to continue to wait due to the complexity of the procedure. In mid-August, Haitian Education still said that it guaranteed admission. However, when the school started near September, Ms. Cheng learned through the person in charge of Zhiguo Education Consulting Company that Haitian Education said that it could not be admitted, but it has not been refunded so far. She said that now her WeChat has been blocked by Haitian Education and cannot be contacted.

He told the surging news that the person in charge of Haitian Education promised to help children enter well-known universities through school boards, social entrepreneur sponsorship scholarships and other operation methods without English level 4 and IELTS scores, with a success rate of 99%.

Chen said that on August 27, 2021, he signed a "refund statement" with Haitian Education in his personal capacity.

As of October 15, 2021, there are still 1.75 million yuan of remaining expenses that have not been refunded.
The above-mentioned person in charge said that this statement only involves some of the parents he is responsible for, and as far as he knows, dozens of parents have signed "study abroad service contracts" with Haitian Education, with a total amount of about 15 million yuan, and most parents have asked Haitian Education to refund all the fees due to their children's failure to successfully enroll, but most parents have been unable to get in touch with Haitian Education.
From October 22 to 25, The Paper repeatedly called Haitian Education to understand the "study abroad" and "refund" matters reported by parents, but as of press time, there was no response.
According to public information, Haitian Learning (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd. was established on November 5, 2020, and its registered place is located at 2309, 20th Floor, Block A, No. 2, Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, Beijing, with its main business as "self-funded study abroad intermediary services", and Beijing Haitian Education Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Beijing Huaren Tianxia Education Technology Co., Ltd.) holds 100% of its shares. On August 27, 2021, the legal representative of Haitian Xuexue (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd. was changed from Tao to Zhou Meizhen.
The Paper noted that from 2015 to 2019, Beijing Haitian Education Technology Co., Ltd. was repeatedly sued by students and parents for contract disputes, involving 20 lawsuits in four years.
