The Athletic UK weekly report is still compiled this week by David Ornstein, and with the Premier League season over and the dust settling, all eyes are now on who will be the england national team member for Euro 2020.

Gareth Southgate will announce his 26-man roster on Tuesday, but the next week he will have to watch the Europa League and Champions League finals of three England clubs, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all playing. The manager was on site at Villa Park on Sunday, keeping a close eye on Aston Villa's Watkins and Glalis, as well as Chelsea's Mason Mount and Reese James, but from the england national team's point of view, the final round was not without surprises.

Leeds United midfielder Calvin Phillips suffered a shoulder injury in the team's 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion, and the 25-year-old will be assessed in the coming days but he fears his physical condition could threaten his entry into the squad for the national team.

Earlier, it was reported that Burnley's main goalkeeper Pope, who was originally ready to be selected for the national team with Pickford and Henderson, will undergo knee surgery. While teams can make adjustments to their rosters after the goalkeeper is injured, the likelihood of Pop's return to Euro 2020 is slim. As a result, West Brom goalkeeper Johnstone, who has performed well this season, is a candidate, and considering that Henderson still has to play in the Europa League final, johnstone is likely to be able to practice with the national team on May 31st.

Pope had hoped to make a appearance against Sheffield United on Sunday, but on Saturday he felt discomfort in his knees and decided to undergo surgery. He had spoken to Southgate before the news was announced, and according to sources, the time was ripe for his surgery.

Meanwhile, Liverpool sources believe Trent Alexander Arnold will not be named in the squad for the national team. It is understood that there is no connection between England and the club - although this result may change in the next 24 hours - but it is basically certain that the 22-year-old will miss the European Championship, and Leicester City is also not hopeful about James Madison's selection, and the two internationals are basically determined to miss this European Championship.

Everton's Godfrey may be a man to watch, and Southgate has observed many times this season. Apart from him, Brighton's Ben White and Lewis Dunk are popular with England and have had conversations with the club, but there is no indication that any of them will be on the England squad.

The England national team will tell players ahead of the announcement on Tuesday afternoon that, for better or worse, many are still unsure whether they will be selected on Sunday night.
