Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold returned to Watford and Jota was injured

Liverpool striker Diogo Jota has been skeptical of the Reds trip to Watford on Saturday as right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold resumes full training.

Ahead of Portugal's match against Luxembourg on Tuesday, Jota returned to Merseyside after being ruled out of a friendly against Qatar over the weekend because of a muscle injury, and he had not trained.

The Portuguese Football Association said in a statement: "Diogo Jota was fired by national team coach Fernando Santos after FPF's health and performance department decided he would not be able to face Luxembourg at a meeting on Tuesday. ”

Thankfully, for Jurgen Klopp, Roberto Firmino is fully back in health and will most likely start against the Hornets.

Liverpool are likely to be without Brazilian duo Alisson and Fabinho as their international matches won't end until Friday.

However, Klopp got some good news, with Alexander Arnold returning to full training this week after missing out on his last two league games with a groin injury.

In Trent's absence, the German boss used James Milner, Joe Gomez and Connor Bradley at right-back.

Midfielder Thiago Alcantara — who has suffered a calf injury since Sept. 18 — was not photographed during Melwood's training session.

Elsewhere, former Reds midfielder Wijnaldum admitted he was not "completely satisfied" with his current situation at Paris Saint-Germain.

As the Liverpool Echo reported, Wijnaldum's advice not to play is the "primary concern" for every player:

"I can't say I'm completely happy because the situation wasn't what I wanted.

"But that's football and I have to learn to deal with it. I am a warrior. I have to keep a positive attitude and try to turn things around.

"I think [not playing], that's the main focus of every player.

"If you don't play, it's also worrying. But that's just the beginning of the season. A lot of things can still happen and I keep a positive attitude. ”
