Gaohai Expressway is located at the foot of Xishan Mountain, on the shore of Dianchi Lake, starting from the Gaoyao Junction interchange and ending in Haikou Town. The main line of the highway is a fully enclosed, fully interchangeable highway, and the number of people from the main city of Kunming to Haikou has been reduced from the original two hours to half an hour.

Some staff informed that due to the landslide some time ago, the road ahead has been closed.
After the reporter called the Kunming Traffic Police Detachment is the fourth brigade to learn that due to the landslide near the Gaohai Expressway near Hui Bay on the evening of June 30, it was impossible to pass, and from July 1, the traffic department closed the road section. At present, due to the work of risk elimination and identification, vehicles can only be allowed to pass after eliminating dangerous situations and having safe traffic conditions on the road.
According to reports, the currently closed section of the road is: HuiWan to Haikou Expressway in both directions. Hui Bay to Haikou auxiliary road in both directions. If there are citizens who need to go from the western city to Haikou, they can bypass the Ring Expressway and The Anjin Expressway in the direction of Anning, which can go around to Haikou as quickly as possible. Citizens who need to pass through these sections in other directions can also detour to Haikou through roads such as the Huanhu Highway and Kunyu Expressway.
It is understood that because the Gaohai Expressway is close to the West Mountain, after the heavy rain caused by the landslide, the Xishan District Transportation Bureau, the traffic police department, the Gaohai Expressway Management Office, the Xishan District Natural Resources Bureau and other relevant departments attach great importance to it, and while cleaning up the landslide obstacles, it is also necessary to carry out comprehensive risk removal and assessment of the landslide location. After the danger is eliminated, the traffic of the closed road section can be restored. Previously, there were also cases where the High Sea Expressway was closed due to landslides.
