"An excellent teacher must not only do his job well, but also make extraordinary achievements in ordinary jobs." This is a sentence that Guo Jin, the principal of Shuangshan Town Middle School in Shuangliao City, often hangs on his lips. As a teacher, he is conscientious and pragmatic; as a school leader, he leads by example and strives for excellence, and in the past 25 years of teaching, Guo Jin has always been proud of his teaching profession.
During the period of teaching in Shuangliao Vocational Middle School, Guo Jin was the leader of classroom teaching reform, and due to his outstanding teaching achievements, he became a "teaching expert in Shuangliao City" and "a backbone teacher in Siping City" in five years. Guo Jin did not tire of learning, consciously strengthened the study of professional knowledge and theoretical knowledge, he studied hard, constantly analyzed and summarized, and improved his teaching level. He also always teaches students to have ideal ambitions and be a person who is useful to society and the country. Under his teaching, students not only have excellent grades, but also are sunny, optimistic and upward.
When he was a class teacher, Guo Jin often used the class to educate students physically and mentally, and used his spare time to promote long talks with students to help each student strengthen their confidence and establish a correct outlook on life. He came early and left late every day, stuck to the class between classes, and volunteered to tutor the latecomers. Every day after returning home from work, I go to prepare lessons, correct homework, insist on home visits on weekends, and subsidize students in difficulty. From 1996 to 2011, he made more than 500 home visits, traveled more than 20,000 miles, and donated more than 3,000 yuan to the poor students in this class.
Since becoming the principal of Shuangliao Fuxian Middle School in 2011, Guo Jin has devoted himself to school management and development construction, and under his leadership, the teachers are also full of energy, and the school management is becoming more and more standardized. He personally led classes, participated in teaching and research, led the team to learn advanced teaching concepts, and actively sought to coordinate funds to strengthen hardware construction. Through several years of efforts, the teaching quality and hardware of Fuxian Middle School have been comprehensively improved, and it has become a "strong school for rural education".
In March 2020, Guo Jin was transferred to Shuangshan Town Middle School, and on the second day of registration, he organized a symposium for cadres at or above the middle level of the school to understand the school situation and jointly plan the development of the school with colleagues. In just one and a half years, the school appearance of Shuangshan Town Middle School and the spiritual outlook of teachers and students have undergone great changes.
In the eyes of others, Guo Jin is not only an excellent teacher, but also a competent husband. In 2004, Guo Jin's wife suffered from kidney disease syndrome, and in order to treat her illness, he accompanied her to seek medical treatment and went to Changchun, Shenyang, Beijing, Henan Shangqiu, Inner Mongolia Tongliao and other places. In addition to dealing with work matters on a daily basis, he also has to take care of his wife. Since his wife had no physical strength, housework fell on his shoulders. Under his careful care, his wife's condition was controlled and she is currently in good condition. When colleagues in the unit talked about him, they were full of admiration.
Despite the heavy burden on the family, Guo Jin still insisted on passing on the love, he joined a love team, insisting on taking out 100 yuan per month to support students from poor families. He also actively contacted social benevolent people to donate to poor students, and under his efforts, he donated more than 10,000 yuan to the poor students of the school, so that 5 poor students successfully completed their studies.
In 2003, Guo Jin was rated as "Excellent Teacher of Siping City" by the municipal government, and in 2007, he was rated as "Excellent Teacher of Jilin Province" by the provincial government... The achievements dare not be satisfied, and the reputation urges people to forge ahead. All along, Guo Jin has performed his sacred and great work duties with a simple character and a down-to-earth style. As an educator, Guo Jin knows that there is still a long way to go, and he will continue to use knowledge to ignite the flame of students' curiosity and raise the sails of students' future ideals with love.
