Central and local media reporters walked into Qingyang, Gansu Province, to feel the timeless spirit of Nanliang - "This spirit will benefit us for life"

At the Nanliang Spiritual Education Hall of the Qingyang Affiliated School of Beijing Normal University, students visited the sandbox of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Gansu Revolutionary Base Area and listened to the stories of red history.

Thematic elements such as the red revolution theme paper-cut wall and the sculpture of the revolutionary martyrs are displayed in a concentrated manner, with compact space and rich content... Recently, a reporter from China Press, Publication, Radio, and Telegraph followed a marching interview group from Gansu Province to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, "Fenghua Centennial Road, Striving for New Longyuan", and walked into the Qingyang No. 5 Middle School of Qingyang City and the Qingyang Affiliated School of Beijing Normal University located on the Loess Plateau in Longdong To feel the endless life of red culture in this hot land.

Qingyang is the former site of the Soviet government of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region, and the revolutionary base area of Shaanxi-Gansu Border centered on Qingyang Nanliang provided a foothold for the Party Central Committee and the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in the Long March and a starting point for the Eighth Route Army to go north to resist Japan. Today, the glorious revolutionary history here has become a rich mine for the study and education of party history. Lu Xiaoheng, deputy secretary of the Qingyang Municipal Party Committee and mayor, said that in the past 100 years, the red gene has been passed down here, and the spirit of Nanliang, "facing the masses, adhering to the faith, taking into account the overall situation, and seeking truth and pioneering", has lasted for a long time.

"I have been to Qingyang many times, and each time I have been pleased to see the changes that have taken place here, and I have witnessed the transformation of Nanliang from a poor town in the past to a beautiful township today." Shan Liang, a reporter from the Gansu Provincial Radio and Television General Station, said.

Walking into Qingyang No. 5 Middle School, the Red Education Corridor and the Red Culture Exhibition Hall have become the base for students to receive red education and the home for their souls. Wu Ling, a history teacher at the school, pointed to the pictures on the wall of the school's red culture exhibition hall and told the students: "In order to consolidate and expand the revolutionary base area in Southern Liang, the Communist Party of China led the local people to carry out the agrarian revolution and large-scale production movement, and carried out a series of arduous struggles..."

"Through the study of red knowledge, I deeply felt the spirit of indomitable and arduous struggle of the communists, and realized that a happy life is not easy to come by." Wang Yizhe, a ninth-grade student at Qingyang No. 5 Middle School, told reporters.

The reporters then went to the Qingyang Affiliated School of Beijing Normal University, located in the southern part of Qingyang City, and walked along the west side of the north campus of the school, and the Nanliang Spiritual Education Hall stood on the side of the road. Inside the museum, the sixteen-character connotation of the Spirit of Nanliang, the sand table of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Bian Revolutionary Base Area, the Schematic Map of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Bian Revolutionary Base Area, and the large-scale paper-cut paper with Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang, and Xi Zhongxun as the main body are arranged, and there are more than 1,200 books in the collection.

"At that time, Liu Zhidan was leading the guerrillas to wage a struggle against the enemy on the border between Shaanxi and Gansu, and more than 10 children from poor families who were only fourteen or fifteen years old came from various villages, and they successively defected to the Red Army guerrillas led by Liu Zhidan." At the Nanliang Spiritual Education Hall, Duan Xinyi, a fifth-grade student at the Qingyang Affiliated School of Beijing Normal University, was giving a heartfelt explanation. The reporter learned that Duan Xinyi is a "red little explainer" trained by the school.

Liu Yutao, a reporter from the Gansu branch of the China News Service, listened very attentively, saying that the little explainer's narration was very emotional, enabling the audience to integrate into it.

Yang Guixin, vice president of the school, said that the opening of the Nanliang Spirit Education Hall and the development of the Nanliang Spirit as a school curriculum is to guide students to deeply understand the Spirit of Nanliang and adhere to their beliefs through a series of activities such as opening red courses, telling red stories well, and doing a good job in red practice. "I think that in their future lives, no matter what kind of winds and waves they encounter, this spirit will benefit them for life." Yang Guixin's words resonated with the journalists who had been thinking all the way in this marching interview.

Lu Ming, a reporter from Farmers Daily, said that as a journalist, it is my responsibility and obligation to spread the red stories here and the stories of the local people's hard work and struggle, and inspire more people to move forward courageously.
