Heavyweight world champion Ali finds buyers at his home in Kentucky

The former home of the late Muhammad Ali in Louisville, Kentucky, has finally found a buyer.

According to public listing records, the home was contracted on Monday and was last priced at $1.75 million in February.

Ali's widow, Lonnie Ali, first listed the house for $2.2 million in September 2016, just months after the boxing icon died of contagious shock at the age of 74. The home returned to the market last April for $1.95 million.

According to property records, Ali purchased the five-bedroom home in his hometown in 2010 for $1.875 through a limited liability company.

According to listing information, the single-family home occupies 9,304 square feet and covers 1.9 acres.

With a two-storey home cinema and a multi-level living area with kitchenette, wet bar and wine cellar, the family is suitable for entertaining.

Other features of this two-storey house include a family gym with mirror walls and a swimming pool with cabanas and elevator.

Ali is a three-time heavyweight world champion and is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. Born in Louisville and formerly known as Cassius Clay, he was known for his political activism, including refusing to enlist during the Vietnam War.
