In 1958, Li Weikang applied for the China Academy of Drama with the support of his parents, and there were 2,000 or 3,000 students enrolled at that time, but only 60 students were admitted, and the competition was fierce. After the initial examination and re-examination, Li Weikang was successfully admitted and began eight years of professional training under the guidance of many famous masters.
