On the 20th, Muslims from all over the world who made pilgrimages to Mecca climbed Mount Arafat in Saudi Arabia, and the annual pilgrimage that attracted more than 2 million people around the world reached a climax.

Under the blazing sun, a large number of pilgrims, armed with brightly colored umbrellas, ascended Mount Arafat, southeast of the holy city of Mecca, for a day of prayer and repentance.

Pilgrims raise their arms and repeat: "Only Allah in the world is the Allah" and "Allah supreme."

Umm Ahmad, 61, from Egypt, said: "The mood is indescribable. ”

It's one of the world's premier annual events, and on the second day of the pilgrimage, someone pushes a wheelchair for an elderly relative. Hajj men wear white seamless robes, while women wear loose clothing.

Muslims believe that prophet Muhammad gave his last sermon on Mount Arafat, where Muslims from all over the world make an annual pilgrimage to atone for their sins.

After heavy rain the night before, a hot wind blew through the hills and surrounding plains of The Jabal al-Rahma, where many worshippers drank bottled water.

Saidou Boureima, a pilgrim from Nigeria, said: "I knew it was a bit difficult to climb Mount Arafat. I do sports to meet this challenge, and if all goes well, we can do it. ”

Pilgrims will head to the nearby Muzdalifah after sunset, where they will pick up small stones for a symbolic "stone strike demon" activity.
