On June 29, the Broadway Alliance announced that all Broadway theaters will remain closed until at least January 3, 2021, and many musicals and plays that were scheduled to begin rehearsals in September have also been postponed again.

Singing Street

The Off-Broadway musical, which was scheduled to open on March 26, 2020, has announced that it will premiere in the 2021-2022 season.

"Birthday Candles," directed by Noah Hard and starring Debra Messing, was scheduled to begin rehearsals on April 2. After initially postponing it until this fall, the show is now scheduled to be released in the fall of 2021 at the American Airlines Theatre.
