Since they returned in April, they have been staying in Mojiang County, and occasionally come back to this side of the river, this side of the river is Pu'er Ning'er County, they are shuttling back and forth at the junction of the two counties, so the most recent trip to Mojiang County is the 13th, staying here for a relatively long time. You can see these two baby elephants eating grass, in fact, in the hour we came, this is the second time they have bathed, when we first came they have washed once, after washing may be hungry, the two baby elephants will return to the field, in the farmer's plantain and corn field after a full meal, we wonder if they are going to rest, did not expect them to come down to bathe again, and then soaked for 10 minutes, and now come ashore again, as if they are not willing to go, Why are these two elephants so enthusiastic about water? In fact, these two elephants are sub-adults of Asian elephants, one elephant is probably about 10 years old by visual inspection, and the other elephant is about 8 years old. Then these two elephants should not live alone without the elephant herd according to the reason, but after analysis by the professional and technical personnel of the Forestry Bureau, they may be like this adolescent of human beings, they are now in the rebellious period, they do not want to stay in the family, they want to come out and roam the world, so after they returned in April, they have been leisurely living a good little life in Pu'er. So we also saw that they are still taking a good shower at the water's edge.

Because the surrounding vegetation is relatively dense, there are more food sources for them, so they are basically in the mountains. Occasionally, like at noon, because the weather is relatively hot, they will come down to the river to find some food, take a bath, and eat a little. Then I also learned that for the safety of the surrounding residents, the Forest service's Asian elephant monitors are now constantly monitoring them in real time to prevent conflicts between humans and elephants. But from the current point of view, these two baby elephants are still relatively friendly, do not harass the surrounding farmers too much, occasionally go to people's homes to find food, and do not carry out wanton destruction, turn around and leave. Therefore, for now, the two elephants in Mojiang County get along with each other more happily.
