The elderly Wu Jirun is 67 years old this year and has limited mobility due to illness. When it comes to the hobby of collecting sparks, the old man said that he had to start from 30 years ago. After graduating from high school, Wu Jirun came to Gansu Velvet Factory to work, and in 1984, he was transferred to the former Tianshui Hailin Bearing Factory, and under the influence of colleagues around him, he began to collect stamps and sparks, and it was out of control, which lasted for 30 years.
In order to collect sparks, Wu Jirun used a lot of methods, going to the post office to buy, picking up in the garbage heap on the side of the road, looking for it in the unit, asking for it from others, mail ordering from other places... In short, I tried everything I could. In order to collect more good sparks, Wu Jirun also made friends with the people of the Tianshui Match Factory.
In this way, from less to more, from individual to set, from ordinary to scarce, Wu Jirun's spark collection is becoming more and more large-scale, and there is more research on the historical and cultural knowledge, background, and value connotation of the spark pattern behind the spark. After years of accumulation and precipitation, in 2017, he published a book "Qinzhou Flower Rhyme - Tianshui Spark Papers", which elaborated on his experience and feelings of collecting sparks, the characteristics of Tianshui sparks, and the artistic value.
"The category of Tianshui spark is very rich, and it also has a certain popularity in the national spark family, and the flying spark is one of the most important categories, and it also has high artistic value." The sparks of each place have strong regional characteristics, such as local scenic spots, customs and customs, representative things, etc., thus reflecting different cultural backgrounds. Under the introduction of Wu Jirun, the reporter also has a deeper understanding of the spark.
Wu Jirun told reporters that he now has a collection of about 20,000 sparks, many of which are scarce items. Now that he is older and in poor health, the younger generations are not interested in sparks, so he wants to contact the museum in my city and send some collections to collect them, so that more people can understand the Spark of Tianshui.
