The film is a novella compilation of two adventure stories. "Little Toad" is a little guy who loves to ride a car and eat the mountain sky, but later he was imprisoned, and his family property was also forcibly occupied, so he launched an earth-shattering adventure in order to win everything back; "Legend of Sleepy Valley" is a teacher named Ichabod, who came to Sleepy Valley from other places to teach, and later even chased the most beautiful lady in town, but on Halloween night, Teacher Ichabod was chased by Halloween ghosts, and finally mysteriously disappeared. These two adventure legends have a taste of rural wonders, the soundtrack songs also present a folk-style style, and the climax of the plot proves that Disney has the strength to make another feature film. The main characters in the "Little Toad" passage later made a cameo appearance in the 1983 novella Mickey's Christmas Carol, while the group of weasels next to the villain who framed The Little Toad reappeared in the 1988 live-action animation masterpiece The Mighty Hunt.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is Disney's 11th classic animation, released in 1949, consisting of two novellas, "The Legend of The Little Toad", based on Kenneth Grahame's original book The Wind in the Willows, and "The Legend of sleepy valley" by Washington Irving of the same name in the book The Sketch Book.

It was not until 1999, the 50th anniversary of the film, that the United States first released a full video of the film, which was previously released only two paragraphs separately, and then released the "Golden Collection" video and DVD in the United States in 2000. The soundtrack was not released. Disneyland originally had the "Adventures of the Little Toad" ride, but Disney World has been removed, and Disneyland in California has been strongly blocked by many fans to save it.
