Snow 100: As a slash youth in the ski industry, you have a lot of titles, which is your own favorite? What is your current job?
Omar: My favorite and best part is technical consultants, but I'm moving towards the role of competition analyst, and this field is still blank in China.
My main job at the moment is ski teaching and technical analysis, which is mostly carried out as a ski technical consultant.
Ice 100 People: When it comes to titles, many people call you "Big God", but you are a little different from other competitive "Big Gods". What is the reason why you don't have a lot of athletics on your resume?
Omar: My level of competition is actually very average, I practiced too late, I didn't have any talent, I didn't have the innate king's spirit, and the most important thing was that there was no "boy skill". So my main direction of attack is not in my own competitive aspect.
Ice and snow 100 people: As an "equipment man", you have an absolute say in the field of ski equipment, how big do you think the gap between domestic equipment and foreign brands is? What is your favorite ski gear?
Omar: Equipment should be divided into two major aspects: hardware and software. For hardware, the gap between domestic equipment and foreign brands is still obvious, which is due to design problems caused by culture.
And design, especially the development of materials, application design and the design of key technologies, many of our domestic brands are still blank.
For software, especially textiles, our domestic equipment has a natural advantage, because the price advantage is very obvious. But there is still a long way to go in terms of the original design of the product and the development and application of materials.
As an equipment controller, I really have a hard time making this choice I like the most. Ice 100 People: You currently have an important identity as a sponsor skater, many people may not know much, what is the concept of "sponsored skater"? Is it a professional skier? What is the main job?
Omar: In China, there is a difference between the concept of skater and player. Domestic professional skaters' daily funds and training are solved by themselves, and they can rely on competitions or teaching to support themselves, so there will be some sponsorship.
The professional players in China refer to the national team or local professional teams that fund professional training and are specially prepared for various professional competitions at home and abroad, and have registered athletes in the State General Administration of Sports.
In foreign countries, there is no such difference, in addition to preparing for the Olympic Games, foreign countries will set up a national team or called a national training team, and other times, professional players are professional skaters, and there is basically no difference between the two concepts.
Compared with foreign athletes, our domestic professional athletes are still very happy and can concentrate on training; while domestic professional skaters will be relatively hard, often need to have other occupations to support.
Snow 100 People: A lot of people think that skiing is a dangerous sport, what do you think about this?
Omar: I think it's a very dangerous sport. But if you can learn systematically from the beginning and grow according to the correct guidance system, you will take fewer detours and enjoy skiing more safely.

Omar: I'm not a major in skating, snowboarding is not just skating, skating is just a necessary technique in skating.
Snowboard carving is still relatively popular in China, which is related to the snow quality snow conditions of domestic snow fields. Because whether it is the northeast or Chongli or Xinjiang, it is necessary to carry out continuous snowmaking to maintain the snow tracks.
The artificial snow particles are small, coupled with the general wind, the snow needs to be pressed very porcelain, the snow path becomes very hard, but the low vertical blade and snow sliding method is difficult to slide safely on the hard and smooth steep slope, and the carving technology can effectively solve such snow quality and snow conditions.

Ice 100: Which Winter Olympics event is your favorite? If you were asked to participate in the Winter Olympics, which event would you choose to participate in?
Omar: My favorite is the Alpine Veneer Parallel Giant Slalom/Parallel Slalom project.
If I could go to the Winter Olympics, I would definitely choose to participate in this project. Because I'm currently working on this project, I'm familiar with it. Unfortunately, I don't have any talent, and I practiced too late, so I can only do some auxiliary work now.

Ice and Snow 100 people: Over the years, you have basically popularized and disseminated skiing through articles and lectures, which makes people feel very "low-key", many people think that this is inconsistent with your strength, what do you think of this?
Omar: Where do I have any strength, the original popular "good snow with a mouth" in the snow circle is talking about me. Later, after slipping a little bit, and after having some ability to analyze and solve problems, I felt a little better.
But I still feel that I still don't have any "strength", which is far from it.
Ice 100: Why don't you like to be interviewed? Is it your character? Or is it deliberate?
Omar: That's by my nature. I have also been interviewed twice before, and the other party can't ask the point, and the effect is very poor, so I directly refused it later, and such an interview is meaningless.
I don't like to talk about things other than technology. The nature of the work is the same, the lecture is no problem, don't look for me at the platform; there is no problem in teaching the class, don't look for me when playing; the more professional it is, the more interesting it is for me.
Snow 100 People: Do you have a dream about skiing? What is it?
Omar: My dream of skiing is to create and promote a skiing system that is suitable for the Chinese people and can be integrated with the international community.
It can enable Chinese people to enjoy the fun of skiing safely and efficiently under the conditions of national conditions, their own physical characteristics, and the snow quality characteristics of domestic snow parks.
Personally, I hope that I can become one of the first professional and professional event analysis experts in China, and can provide more technical services for professional teams, national teams and ski events.
