On October 17th, the 7th China International New Media Short Film Festival announced the list of international short film exchange exhibitions. The 7th Short Film Festival received a total of 4132 short film works from 110 countries and regions, and 41 short films from 23 countries and regions were selected for international short film exchange screenings through the selection of filmists, and at the same time, the organizing committee cooperated with countries along the "Belt and Road" to select short films recommended by 10 national institutions such as Mongolia, Russia, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Greece and Estonia to form a special screening unit for countries along the "Belt and Road". The international short film exchange exhibition of this short film festival will be held in Shenzhen theaters, communities, squares and universities from November 26 to 30, 2016, and the main creators of short films will be invited to Shenzhen to participate in on-site exchange activities.

A total of 51 short films screened in this year's international short film exchange exhibition came from 30 countries and regions, of which Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Peru, Myanmar, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sudan and other countries were selected for the first time in the screening unit. At the same time, Asian short films accounted for a relatively high proportion of this year's screening, in addition to Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, a total of seven Asian countries were selected, including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Mongolia and so on.
Second, the biggest feature of science fiction theme cost exhibition works
The selected short films for the International Short Film Exchange Exhibition come from different countries, and the story angle, shooting method and content presentation of the short film type are quite different. Science fiction theme has become the biggest feature of this year's short films, which is the climax of science fiction short films since the second short film festival "Landing on Alpha Planet 46".
The Korean drama short film "Courage to Go Forward" tells the story of the war between humans and robots in the future world, and a girl with a broken heart fights side by side with the robot that guards her; the Chinese animation short film "Unknown Planet" also tells the future story, two space robots encountered a meteorite rain attack while conducting plant growth tests on unknown planets; the American documentary short film "Looking for Earth Proxima Centauri" tells the story of scientists working to build a telescope in the past 20 years. In the past six years, the Short Film Festival has held more than 200 international short film exchange and screening activities in Shenzhen in different forms, and has screened nearly 400 short films from more than 40 countries, which have been loved by the public and professionals and film lovers from other parts of the country. The 7th Short Film Festival will open up platform resources for the first time, and join hands with shenzhen Futian District Enterprise Culture Promotion Association to be screened in theaters, communities, squares and universities in the city, so that citizens can enjoy high-quality short films from all over the world at their doorstep and enjoy the cultural customs of different countries.
This year's international short film exchange screening will be held from November 26 to 30, with a total of more than 50 screenings in 6 screening units.
