The well-known Chinese CG painter @匁合麒麟 has recently added another masterpiece to counter the Western boycott of China's Xinjiang cotton incident. The painting, called "Blood Cotton Initiative", has been found by netizens many "Easter eggs", and the metaphors and ridicule in it are amazing.

This work presents the scene of black slaves picking cotton. BBC reporters and photographers wear white pointed hoods with only their eyes exposed, similar to the iconic outfit of the racist Group Ku Klux Klan in the United States. They asked a Scarecrow if she had been treated unfairly, and naturally they couldn't answer, but a sign next to it read, "I've been sexually assaulted and abused." ”
The man propped up behind the scarecrow wears a police uniform reminiscent of a white American cop who knelt down to crush the black man Freud who killed him.
The blood-colored text "H&M" can be seen on the trunk, and the cotton scale hidden in the corner is very similar to the logo of the brand Involved Nike.
Zooming in, you can see that the scarecrow's left hand was replaced by a bloody human hand, and coincidentally, there happened to be a black slave behind the scarecrow, whose left hand was cut off.
The abbreviation of the painting's name is the same as the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), the Swiss Good Cotton Development Association, which spearheaded the boycott of Xinjiang cotton.
The painting was forwarded by Reuters and other media, once again triggering international public opinion. So who is this mysterious painter @ Wuhe Qilin?
According to The Kirin himself, the post-80s painter loved comic creation since childhood, graduated from an art school design major, first did animation, taught himself some three-dimensional creation techniques, and later did the work of drawing storyboards and concept maps for film and television dramas. In the past two years, because of his sense of journalism, he has created a number of CG comics reflecting international current politics in his spare time, known for his spicy satire, exaggerated style, bold imagination and delicate brushwork.
The rabble unicorn first made its international debut last year. On November 29, 2020, Australian Local Time, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison asked the Chinese side to apologize for the "false photos". The cause was Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian urging Australia to investigate the recent war crimes allegations and quoted in a tweet satirical cartoon by Chinese cartoonist Kirin.
The Master of Peace
The work condemns the atrocities committed by Australian soldiers against Afghan civilians, and there appear to be corpses under the Australian flag, and a soldier is cutting the throat of a child: "Don't be afraid, we are here to bring you peace." ”
In response to Morrison's demand that China apologize for the "fake photo", The Unicorn responded that Australia should deal with its own problems, rectify the atmosphere of troops stationed abroad rather than condemning others, and quickly released a new work "To Morrison" on December 1, 2020.
To Morrison
In the picture, Morrison points to the little boy standing in front of the easel hysterically demanding an apology, and the media surrounds the little boy with long guns and short cannons, regardless of the fact that someone on the battlefield behind him is being killed by soldiers.
The White House Painter
When the new crown pneumonia epidemic was raging, then US President Trump repeatedly called the new coronavirus "Chinese virus", in the work "White House Painter", the behemoth shaped like a coronavirus has entered the president's office, the situation has gotten out of control, the staff is busy painting the Chinese flag on the virus, and the intention of "throwing the pot" is obvious.
"False Gods"
Set against the backdrop of violent demonstrations in Hong Kong in 2019, "False Gods" depicts a group of demonstrators bowing to The Goddess of Liberty in the center of the picture, as if eating the hearts of human beings, exposing the blind obedience of Hong Kong demonstrators and the hypocrisy of the United States in promoting the spirit of freedom.
In another work of the same genre, a masked demonstrator child with a slingshot stands on the railroad tracks at the instigation of those around him to attack a speeding high-speed train. The author wrote in the accompanying text of the comic, "You think you can be a hero by wearing a mask? It's possible you're just a dog. Do you think the whole world stands with you? You're just standing alone on the tracks. ”
"The Sword Comes"
When the "Hong Kong National Security Law" was officially implemented, the unicorn painted "The Sword Comes", in which the people's police used the sword in their hands to smash the shell of the "Statue of Liberty", which was originally hidden as a demon, and its roots were connected with many glamorous rays, including Joshua Wong and many other familiar faces.
Separation of Powers
At the end of the U.S. election, the unicorn drew such a picture, lying on the ground a corpse covered with the American flag, the mobile phone in hand stuck on the banned Twitter page, the four gun holes on the wall representing the departure of the four lives in the election, thieves, thugs, murderers in the struggle for power.
"Respectful Breathing"
"Respect for Breathing" depicts a giant white American cop about to press his knee against the tiny crowd below, and people look up, and a line in the painting reads: "Freud, can you breathe?" Last year, Black Floyd was crushed by white American police officers with his knees pressed against his neck, making it difficult to breathe, and eventually died, which later triggered mass demonstrations.
"National Sacrifice"
On National Day, Kirin created a cartoon satirizing some Japanese politicians who still visit the Yasukuni Shrine and fail to really reflect on it.
"Coronation of The Mardier"
Who are the riggers? Who crowned him with a dog collar? The painting was given to one of China's "most influential" writers. The above is just a brief introduction, the charm of the works of the unicorn lies in the details, interested may wish to download the original picture, enlarge and explore more mysteries.
For him, kirin has created many excellent CG works for film, television and games, and for him, the turning point in his creative career came in 2015. One day he suddenly wanted to understand, "Actually, I don't want to be a person who draws well, I just want to be a person who tells stories through pictures." From then on, "style" and "skill" were no longer the content of his attention, and emotional transmission was what he valued most.
The work of the unicorn in the past
Wuhe Qilin once created an illustration to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Chinese Volunteer Army's war to resist the United States and aid Korea, and said that his grandparents were volunteer soldiers.
In the face of the Western hegemony's framing of China, The Rabble Qilin resolutely fought back with spicy works, so he himself endured many attacks, and even was "searched for human flesh".
Wuhe Qilin once said that there are many painters in China who feel that "the work should not be offensive, and the work of art should be pure and not contaminated with impurities, so there may be many painters who are better than me and have a stronger appeal than me." He considered himself a "staunch statist" and his works all carried a clear stance. In an exclusive interview with the English version of the Global Times, talking about China's current situation in the field of international public opinion, he said, "I hope that more people of insight can stand up and make a voice." ”
