The city of Xi'an no longer needs the "three masters of rock and roll" to support the façade, and already has its own rock culture.

A network roundup "Summer of the Band" made rock music famous, out of the circle, and also made money.
Music festivals of various names have sprung up, and watching performances has become a popular way of life for young people. To borrow the words of Gai Grandpa, the new upstart in the hip-hop circle next door, the brothers have eaten.
The rock and roll landscape is also expanding, with beijing still the center, and each region has its own iconic band. Titles such as "Rock city", "rock city", "rock town" and so on have become the honors that many cities compete for.
Among them, Xi'an is recognized as an important rock and roll town, because when it is mentioned, everyone will immediately think of the three stars of Zhang Chu, Xu Wei and Zheng Jun, who are known as the "Three Masters of Xi'an Rock", which is the symbol of Xi'an Rock.
But people who really know Xi'an music know that you are a layman as soon as you listen to it.
Xi'an is just a starting point for these three people, who have lived here and played music, but their creation, fame and roots are actually in Beijing.
To say that it can really represent Xi'an rock music, which has played a key role in the development of the waste capital circle, is another "three masters":
A forum website: Oasis Music Network, operator Cao Shi;
One performance venue: eight and a half bars, double happiness of the staff;
A record company: Shiyin Records Studio, founders Cao Shi and Wang Dazhi.
Together, several of the principals formed a band, the Band hessah who participated in the first season of Summer of the Band.
This year's program, there are two Xi'an bands participating in Faz and Island Mood, although they are not far away, they have been walking.
They live in the city, draw nourishment from the culture of the ancient city, create music with their own style, and contribute to the music industry in the city.
This is a story in a different vein, more authentic and more sincere.

When rock music first entered China, it had a certain connection with Shaanxi.
In 1988, China Records Shanghai released a record "Northwest Wind", which contained songs such as Hang Tianqi's "Loess High Slope", Liu Huan's "Sun in the Heart", and Fan Linlin's "XintianYou".
△ "Northwest Wind" album cover
This was the most popular musical style at the time, with heavy lyrics, stirring melodies, and expressing Chinese feelings for the land. The northwest wind blows to the whole country, and many singers become popular by singing the northwest wind, which has continued until now.
And in this record, there is also a song - Cui Jian's "Nothing".
Two years ago, on May 9, at the Workers' Stadium, at the "Concert to Commemorate the Hundred Singers of the International Year of Peace", the Korean man who rolled up half of his pants legs used a song "Nothing" to awaken the era of nothing and also announced the birth of Chinese rock music.
Rock and roll and the northwest wind, at the beginning is a bit "entangled". Female singer Ai Jing has a song called "Rock letter sky tour", which directly grafts the two musical genres together.
Because in that era, people's understanding of rock music was not enough, staying on the surface meaning, thinking that the singer had a loud voice and roared and sang, and everyone shook their heads and shook their heads, which was rock music.
But Shaanxi, which has a deep cultural accumulation, did provide creative inspiration for the rise of China's first wave of rock and roll.
"Sanqin Metropolis Daily" once concluded: "Northwest Wind" inherits the tradition of rock and roll music - singing instinct, singing subconsciously, the rhythm is simple and even monotonous, similar to the pulse of people, the rock, ethnic, popular three styles are integrated.
Of course, rock 'n' roll also has an important symbol, it is performed on stage in the form of a band.
According to the writing of "Yesterday's Farewell", it is also 1988, the first xi'an rock band with real records, the Instant Band (later renamed the Impact Band), was established and performed at the dance, which led a group of local people to fall in love with rock and began to learn musical instruments.
The musicians of the Instant Band, most of whom graduated from professional music colleges, originally played classical music, but were influenced by rock and roll, adding electronic music elements and beginning to express their personal thoughts and emotions.
At this time, the "Xi'an Rock Three Jie" is thinking about how to leave his hometown and go to a distant place to chase his dreams.
In 1987, Zhang Chu, a sophomore student in the Department of Civil Engineering of Shaanxi Mechanical College, chose to drop out of school and went to Beijing. In school, he won the second prize in the Campus Singer Grand Prix, has great musical talent, and has more room to develop in Beijing.
△ Zhang Chu when he was young
His hometown of Liuyang, Hunan, settled in Xi'an at the age of 8, originally a foreigner, at this moment he walked alone to another hometown, the song "West Out of Yangguan" expresses his mood: I can't look back / The lights of the city / Although it is too panicked to walk alone...
Fortunately, the trip to Beijing was very rewarding. In 1992, the rock album "China Fire 1" was released, and the first song was his "Sister". The second is The Face Band "Give Me a Little Love." Some Douban netizens called it "China's best rock compilation album so far".
The desolation and heaviness of "Sister" can also be heard with the smell of a northwest wind.
In the same year, Zheng Jun, who was applying for a study visa in Beijing, also met a nobleman, who met the agent of the Black Panther Band, who recommended him to the music company "Red Star Production Society", and the company later signed Tian Zhen, Xiao Ke and others, which was very strong.
Zheng Jun is a native of Xi'an, but was admitted to the Hangzhou Institute of Electronics Industry in 1987 and received rock music from other places. While waiting for his visa, he returned to Xi'an and performed in the countryside with a song and dance troupe, which was a short music career related to his hometown.
△ Zheng Jun when he was young
He began to become a superstar in Beijing, although he often expressed good memories of Xi'an, but mainly ate, and had nothing to do with rock and roll - in Beijing, he specifically looked for Xi'an restaurants to eat, and once he went in, Zhang Yimou was also there.
No matter how far the Shaanxi people go, they can't do without that taste.
The only person who ever played rock 'n' roll in Xi'an was Xu Wei. He grew up afraid to study, ran away from home before the college entrance examination, and followed a band to the national wandering performance. Later, he couldn't screw up his family and went to the army to become a soldier, during which he gave up the opportunity to go to the military academy again.
After retiring from the army, in 1992, he and Takamatsu formed the flying band in Xi'an. Takamatsu, also the guitarist of the Instant Band, the guitar level of the two men was famous in the Xi'an rock circle at that time.
At the end of 1993, the Flying Band held its first performance at Xi'an Foreign Chinese College, singing 5 songs composed by Xu Wei, and more than 3,000 spectators came to the scene.

By the following year, the band had become famous, and Xu Wei also appeared on the Shaanxi Television Literary and Art Station as a guest to introduce Western rock music. At that time, Shaanxi Tai was not like now, only concerned about whether you could give birth to cows and cows.
In 1994, Zheng Jun released the album "Naked", which was popular all over the country, and when he came to Xi'an to promote, he was on Xu Wei's program. This was the first time the two had met, and seeing Zheng Jun's achievements in Beijing, Xu Wei's heart had also changed.
Playing in bands, the income is unstable, sometimes you have to borrow money to smoke, coupled with the difference in personality and musical philosophy, it is difficult to get along. In the autumn of 1994, the Flying Band disbanded, and Xu Wei left Xi'an for Beijing, where he also signed a contract with Red Star Production Company.
He once responded to the reason for the band's dissolution: "Our minds have never actually been on the same line, and living in this city makes me feel particularly uncomfortable. ”
He said he would never form a band again, and that it was enough to form it once.
But no matter how far you go, it is difficult to forget your hometown, and the song "The City I Miss" was written for Xi'an:
The city I miss is already dusk
Why do I always have a deep affection for you?
It used to give me joy and trauma
It once gave me hope and gave me despair
In the early nineties, the boundaries between rock and roll and northwestern winds were not clear.
In 1992, Sanli Company released a compilation album called "The Great Rock of Western China", which included na Ying's "Ravine", Zang Tianshuo's "Brother Tethers You to Your Heart", Tu Honggang's "Yellow Land" and so on.
△ Tape cover of "The Great Rock of Western China" (1992).
Some fans left a message: Why does this have something to do with rock 'n' roll?
There may also be a marketing purpose, when rock music is on fire, in today's words, it is a hot search topic, with its own traffic, so merchants also want to rub hot spots, good with goods.

02

In December 1994, Zhang Chu was already one of the "Three Masters of Magic Rock", and their performance in Hung Hom, Hong Kong, pushed Chinese rock music to the peak.
This trend has also spread all over the country, with bars, musical instrument training classes, performances and so on. Those who can go to Beijing will go to Beijing to find Hi, and those who can't go will stay locally to find hi.
In 1995, Xi'an held a "Longdu Rock Concert", which gathered more than ten bands such as Dustless, Xi'an People, Impact, and Dongshihe, which was the first generation of bands in Xi'an, and now it is a topic of exposed age.
The band also recorded an album together, "The Great Rock of Western China". That's right, the same name as the one from 1992.
However, this one is the real rock song compilation album, their passion for music, the attempt at new things, for the rock to justify the name, but also for Shaanxi rock out of the lead.
△ "Western China Rock" 1995
There is a song in the compilation album, "Counting Yellow and Counting Cuts", from the band "Oh", which is a bird that appears during the wheat cutting season in Guanzhong. The lead singer of the band is named Liu Xiangjie, a student of the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, who sings in dialects, has a very regional taste, and is known as "Qin Cavity Blues".
Later, he also went to Beijing to develop, became a performance artist, and was friends with Zuo Xiaozu. In the album "Four Great Masterpieces II Immortal Society" released by Zuo Xiaozu in 2019, the two also sang "Counting Yellow and Counting Cuts".
After Xu Wei left, the Fly band continued to operate in Xi'an under the leadership of Gao Song, and it is also the most famous band in Xi'an, and the songs are often included in various rock compilation albums released in Beijing, becoming an important part of Chinese rock music.
For example, in 1998, after Shen Lihui established Modern Sky Company, the first album released, "Modern Sky", included the flying band "West Sun". The first track on the album was New Pants' "Our Time."
During this period, Xi'an also gave birth to many bands such as slime, demons, and carrion. At that time, the performance market was not yet mature, and the band was formed entirely out of hobby, mostly college students, and held small performances on campus.
Cao Shi, a computer software major at Northwestern Polytechnical University, formed a band "Hand Pocket", which was later renamed "Sleeping Bag".
This kind of amateur band tends to gather quickly, disperse quickly, be as free as the wind, and drift like the wind.
In 2001, the first Hanyao Music Festival was held, with more than 20 bands participating, and everyone suddenly discovered that there were so many bands in Xi'an. The band members also saw that there were so many people in the same way, and rock music was officially on the rise.
The Han kiln, located in Qujiang, Xi'an, is said to have been here for eighteen years by Wang Baojun of the Tang Dynasty, waiting for the return of her husband Xue Pinggui. Today, rock fans have waited for their heroes to appear.

In the same year, the "Eight and a Half" bar opened in Xi'an Defu Lane, also known as "Eight and a Half", from Fellini's film of the same name, and when you hear it, you know that it is Wen Qing's business. The owner Zhang Wei originally sold speakers, saw that Xi'an lacked professional performance venues, and opened a bar.
The first band to perform was from a remote area in Beijing, and at that time, joyside had not yet been formed. The popular and respected Trojans in this year's Summer of bands 2 have also performed in bars.
In addition, there are mirrors, sound toys, painful faith, beautiful drugstores... Eight and a half bars have become the core stage of Xi'an rock music and the base camp for rock lovers in the ancient city.
The performances of foreign bands have broadened the horizons of local musicians and fans to know what good music is. Xi'an has also become a must-stop for the band to tour the country, unique in the northwest region, and it is not an exaggeration to say that it is a rock and roll town.
At the beginning of the new century, the development of the Internet also began to affect rock music. In 2001, Liu Wen, the owner of Xi'an Oasis Piano Company, founded the Oasis Music Network, which was originally to promote the piano company, but gradually developed into a small music forum, which is the spiritual territory of rock and roll.
Xi'an Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger, more than amazing people, Liu Wen is also a cycling enthusiast, footprints all over the world, in 2011 published a book "Bicycle on the Road".
But the station manager of Oasis Network was Liu Wen's friend Cao Shi, who was studying at Xigong University at the time, had time, and understood technology. Cao Shi and Wang Dazhi met through oasis network, first netizens, later became friends, and played music together.
△ Oasis Music Network Introduction
At about the same time, a young man named Li Shuangxi came to Xijing University to study, he listened to rock music very early, in order to form a band, began to practice instruments, his first bass, was bought at the Oasis piano shop.
In 2002, Shuangxi's "Three Points and Fifteen Band" once performed with the Trojan Horse Band in eight and a half bars, so he met the owner Zhang Wei.
In 2004, after graduating from Shuangxi University, he followed his girlfriend to Shenzhen to work as a waiter in a nightclub. But the girlfriend stayed for a few days, did not adapt, and returned to Xi'an. Shuangxi felt that it was not cost-effective to toss back and forth, so he stayed and wanted to earn some money and go back.
As a result, she returned to Xi'an's girlfriend and went to a nightclub to become a "princess". Shuangxi was devastated and sold the piano. He went to eight and a half bars every day to drink, and then simply joined the bar to help Zhang Wei take care of the business and was responsible for contacting the performance.
On the wall of another piano shop in Xi'an, "Zhang Liang Qinxing", there was a sentence: I once thought that rock and roll was my second life, and love was my first life, but unfortunately my first life was dead.
This sentence seems to be said to Shuangxi.
△ Double happiness
Playing rock can change a person's life, to the point that life, for better or worse.
In 2000, Xu Wei released the album "That Year", which touched countless people: "After so many years, you are still running / Watching tomorrow is still nothing / The pure ideal in the face of survival / The original is so fragile ..."
But due to the impact of piracy, even if the reputation is good, the record cannot be sold. Xu Wei wandered in Beijing, did not have a chance to perform, survival was difficult, he suffered from depression, and returned to the west to recuperate.
As soon as he listened to the music, he was excited, and when he was excited, he was uncomfortable, and even thought of leaving the music and going to open a commissary. Zheng Jun called him from time to time to comfort him.
The "Magic Rock Three Masters", which once had unlimited scenery, also went to the state of madness or magic or immortality. From 2001 to 2004, Zhang Chu returned to live in the staff dormitory of the Xi'an Tourism Bureau, often going to the "South Gate Bar" by the ancient city wall and sitting in a daze.
He never entered the circle of Xi'an rock. After that, he continued to go on his own and wandered to other places.

There is a certain threshold for playing music, to buy an instrument, understand music theory, and when you come up with an album, you also need a special recording studio and recording equipment. The biggest difference between a local city like Xi'an and Beijing is the lack of professional music production companies.
To truly change the face of the industry, you still have to rely on yourself.
In 2003, Cao Shi and Wang Dazhi established The Sound Recording Studio, the first specialized agency in Xi'an to provide recording services for bands. At that time, Cao Shi was working as a teacher at the university, with a fixed salary, and asked the family for some money to do this.
The first band to record songs, called "Gone Band", Shuangxi was the bass player in the team, and everyone became acquainted and became friends.
In 2004, Shiyin Records Studio released the album "Shades of Dust: Xi'an Independent Music Compilation Album 1", which is the second rock and roll compilation album in Xi'an after "The Great Rock of Western China" (1995), and nearly 10 years have passed.
△ Cover of "The Color of Obscuration: Xi'an Independent Music Compilation Album 1"
The compilation contains 15 local original music pieces, such as "Genie" in the pocket of the hand, "Found in Pain" in the erosion of water, "The Hermit Group", "The Condensation"... Just looking at these names, they are full of avant-garde and avant-garde meanings.
The first song of the album is the overhaul tank band "Boom", they were the most popular band in Xi'an that year, because they participated in the national band audition of Master Kong's iced black tea, similar to the "Summer of the Band" of that era.
Linking music to business in the form of competitions is nothing new. Master Kong Iced Tea launched the project in 2001, selecting bands from colleges and universities across the country to participate in the competition, and the winning band can get scholarships ranging from tens of thousands of yuan and the opportunity to make records.
It was also a period of change in Chinese rock music, when old bands disbanded or fell silent, and new bands rose up in waves.
By the third year of 2004, the number of participating bands had reached nearly 300. Among them, two Shaanxi bands participated, one was a musketeer, and the other was a maintenance tank.
Wu A Musketeer had participated in the previous year's audition, won the second place in the Western Division, and reached the final, which was loved by Lee Zongsheng, and the Rolling Stone also bought one of their songs. (The band's guitarist, Zhang Ning, is now the guitarist of the Band Heisa.) )
Overhaul Tanks became one of the 12 bands in the 7 western provinces and cities that reached the semi-finals this year. But when it came to the draw before the game, they gave up because they had to participate in an off-site performance that day and didn't have time to go.
△ Overhaul tank band
At that time, people who played music, despite the need for money, resisted too naked commercialization, believing that it would damage the purity of music.
And now, the band is covering the Internet songs they despise on the variety show, competing for the ranking and resurrection, and some bands imitate the "Rice Circle Girl" chart-beating behavior in order to get the chance of resurrection... In a word, times have changed.
In 2006, Shiyin Records released "Sweet Dreams in the Abandoned City: Xi'an Independent Music Compilation Album 2", and launched wu a musketeer, XXX (yes, this is the band name), blue shell, triangle tower and other bands.
That year coincided with the 5th anniversary of Oasis Network, and it was also an opportunity to bring the band together and hold a performance. Shuangxi has a wide range of contacts and is responsible for organization, Cao Shi is responsible for publicity, and more than 20 bands participate, which is very large and lasted for two days.
△ Oasis Network fifth anniversary commemorative performance poster
The Band of Hessa also participated in the performance, which was the band's first official appearance.
When Cao Shi and Wang Dazhi were recording for others, they also tried to write songs, singing in Shaanxi dialect, and asked the opinions of the bands that came to record, which everyone thought was very interesting.
In 2003, they created a song called "Practice Death in Little Japan", which was very popular and circulated on the Internet during the years when anti-Japanese sentiment was high. If only today, they would have become Internet celebrities.
If you don't know what Heisa means, you can look at the English name Black Head, blackhead, referring to the black face in the Qin Cavity. The shaanxi dialect of the head pronounces "sa".
△ Black Sand Band
In 2007, the Band released their debut album "Rise Earlier Than Chicken", which has a good reputation. The first song, "Shaanxi Cuisine", wrote about Xi'an's famous snacks, and last year on the debut stage of "Summer of the Band", they chose to sing this song.
Someone in NetEase Cloud commented: "Because of this song, I went to college in Xi'an." "Got more than thirteen thousand likes.
Therefore, the Black Sand Band not only represents Xi'an rock music, but also promotes the development of local rock music, and also shows the attraction of Shaanxi culture.
Despite the high quality of oasis's fifth anniversary performances, it did not save the overall decline of rock music at that time, and it was more like a return to the light.
Under the vigorous development of the Internet, online downloads have replaced piracy and become the biggest impact of records. The entire music industry is at a low ebb, not to mention niche music like rock 'n' roll.
Playing rock and roll can't make money, the tour is still hard, it is completely supported by hobbies, and it is normal that it cannot last, and many bands have disbanded. In 2006, it was during a performance in Xi'an that the joyside band disbanded and an era died.
The Xi'an rock "Compilation Album 3" prepared by Shiyin Records never came out again, not only because of commercial reasons, but also because of the reduction of the band itself, and even the number of songs required for an album could not be made.

04. There are always people who are young

Even in the darkness, there are still people holding candles.
In 2007, Shuangxi withdrew from the "Eight and a Half" bar and established Zhang Guan Li Dai Records And turned to the performance brokerage business, which was still a blank in Xi'an that year.
The cause of the incident was that in 2006, Shiyin Records released a record for a band of Musketeers, "Who You Will Become.". The band wanted to do a tour, promote the record, and went to Zhang Wei for help, and Zhang Wei recommended Shuangxi, whose surname was Li.
Isn't that just "Zhang Guan Li Dai", the band joked. The brokerage company used this name.
Shuangxi took Wu a musketeer, drove to the national tour, walked more than 20 cities, and took the local band out of Xi'an for the first time, which is a bit of "Exodus".
△ A band of musketeers
In 2008, New Pants released a new album "Wild Man Also Has Love", wanting to tour in Xi'an and find double happiness to arrange. On the same day, another band, Milk Coffee, was also ready to perform. ShuangXi thought to himself, everyone is coming, why not make a music festival.
Therefore, at the end of this year, he held the first ZhangGuan Li Dai Music Festival in the textile city on the eastern outskirts of Xi'an.
Xi'an local band scattered, walked, did not shine, the participants are mostly foreign bands, in addition to new pants and milk coffee, there are Trojan horses, Mr. Turtle, mosaics, sound toys - they all participated in the "Summer of the Band" in the past two years.
Looking back now, it was a classic show to be able to get together.
△ Zhang Guan Li Dai Music Festival
Hosting large outdoor music festivals began to become an important way to save rock and roll.
In 2009, Modern Sky founded the "Strawberry Music Festival", which was performed in Tongzhou Moon River Park during May Day, and the old wolf sang Xu Wei's song "Sunny" on the stage to pay tribute to it.
At the beginning of the new century, Xu Wei wrote classic songs such as "Gift" and "Blue Lotus". In 2005, he held a concert for the first time at the Workers' Stadium, felt that there must be no one watching, and took the subway to rehearse, and the staff were shocked. But on that day, all the fans sang together, and many people burst into tears.
The appeal of music has not disappeared, and there are always songs that move people.
In 2010, the Strawberry Music Festival entered the Xi'an market and was the second venue outside of Beijing. On May 16th, the Black Sand Band took the stage to open the performance, and Zhang Chu pressed the line.
Two Xi'an people, one at the beginning and one tail, gave the best gifts to the fans of wasted city music.
△ Zhang Chu finale performance
The music market is gradually getting better, and playing bands used to be an interest, but now it can be a profession. In 2012, Cao Shi resigned from school to work professionally as a band.
Shuangxi is responsible for the band's agency. In 2012, he appeared on Hunan Satellite TV's "Let's Date" program and went on a blind date for himself. It seems that rock 'n' roll is still inseparable from love, no, women.
Some people leave Xi'an, some people come to Xi'an, this soil, as long as you sincerely take root, can always provide you with nutrients.
The Xi'an band "Faz Band", which participated in this year's "Summer of the Band", was founded in 2010.
Liu Peng, the lead singer of the band, was born in Baoding, Hebei Province in 1985, and when he was in high school, his family moved to Xi'an. At that time, he read the Beijing Midi School and midi music festival introduced in the magazine, and he especially longed to go to Beijing to play rock music.
Before he finished college, he went to Beijing, but when he entered the besieged city, he knew that it was like that. Beijing is a circle of fame and fortune, and he is not good at socializing. I performed with the band every week, and I didn't have time to write songs, and after a long time, I was tired and not excited.
In 2010, he returned to Xi'an from Beijing and met several people who wanted to form a band on Oasis. At first, I was in a hurry to rehearse to participate in a "tribute to Raymonds" performance, but after the performance, the effect was good, and I kept acting.
But Oasis Music Network, which has given countless people solace, closed in 2011, and now the website www.lvzhou.net can no longer be opened.
In 2013, Modern Sky released the band Faz's debut album, Who Will Be a Running Horse. The album cover was designed by Pang Kuan of the band New Pants.
△ Faz band participates in the summer
The music style of the Faz band is restrained and rhythmic, with a philosophical depth. The most impressive is "Control": "Whether time can still wait for me, whether time can still control me..."
There is Liu Peng's boxing on the stage, and there is the dialectic of time in the song.
In 2019, at the Xi'an Aperture Club, Liu Peng and his daughter sang "Control" on the same stage, many people listened to crying, Liu Peng said: "I think sincere music anyone can feel the realness of it. ”
Aperture Club is the most important rock performance venue in Xi'an after the eight and a half bars. Someone once described the scene when everyone watched the performance:
Two or three groups of men and women were chatting at the door of the aperture, when they suddenly faintly heard the noise of musical instruments coming from the ground, so they raised their hands to look at their watches and threw the cigarette butts in their hands to the ground: "Go, go down." ”
Another Xi'an band participating in this year's "Summer of the Band" island mood, in 2007, was formed by several young people from Xianyang. In 2015, Shiyin Records released their debut album"
△ Island Mood Band
In the show, professional fan Ding Taisheng thinks they are a band from Taiwan, but their names have another meaning: everyone has an island in their hearts, full of freedom, persistence and hope.
There are many young and characteristic bands like this in Xi'an, such as: Amber, Quark, White Hundred, Strange Room...
It can be said that the city of Xi'an no longer needs the "three masters of rock and roll" to support the façade, and already has its own rock culture.
History is written by living life, and time consumes life.
In 2017, Takamatsu, the guitarist of the flying band, died of lung disease, and the love and hatred that had once been dissipated with the wind. But the work, and the legend behind it, will live on forever.
△ Takamatsu died
The core spirit of rock and roll is the pursuit of reality, the obedience to inner desires, the rebellion against banal reality, and then expressed in a qualitative musical form.
It is a musical category, but also a life form.
It is this spirit that has inspired the predecessors to develop, and has also infected young people to inherit and continue. The band splits and merges, and the style flows back and forth, but as long as someone is there, rock 'n' roll is there.
As the hedgehogs sang:
A generation will eventually grow old, but there will always be people who are getting younger.
