The full name of the Nanxinhe high-speed railway is nanyang to Hefei high-speed railway via Xinyang, and the Pingluozhou high-speed railway is the Pingdingshan high-speed railway through Luohe to Zhoukou. In the 14th Five-Year Plan of Henan Province released in April this year, the Jiaozuo economic source of the Hunan high-speed railway to the Luoyang to Pingdingshan section (Hunan high-speed railway Henan West Passage) and the Pingluozhou high-speed railway were expressed as "striving to be completed", while the Nanxinhe high-speed railway was "striving to start construction".

Why should a project that "strives to start construction" be juxtaposed with a project that is "striving to be built", does it mean that the construction of the South China-Xinhe high-speed railway will be accelerated?

In this regard, Zhang Zhancang, counselor of the Henan Provincial Government, said that this shows more of the attitude of the provincial party committee and the provincial government to actively promote construction. Although the construction progress of the South China Xinhe high-speed railway is later in the planning, the project construction is closely related to the local requisition and demolition, supporting facilities, "which can keep up with the first start, there are many such examples." ”

In an interview with the Dahe Newspaper and the Dahe Caifang reporter earlier, Zhang Zhancang clearly stated that Henan's biggest advantage is the transportation advantage, and it must further enhance its status in terms of comprehensive transportation advantages, "The ideal degree of henan high-speed railway network construction is the goal of aiming at the high-speed railway network in the seats of the provincial and municipal governments with large populations, and then take a step forward, forming a cross of high-speed rail, so that the local development truly enters the era of high-speed rail." ”

As far as the southern Henan region is concerned, Nanyang and Xinyang urgently need such a new high-speed rail line, and the construction of the Pingluozhou high-speed railway will also form a high-speed rail cross in Pingdingshan, Luohe and Zhoukou.

The Nanxinhe high-speed railway is an integral part of the Ningxi high-speed railway, which has appeared in the "Central Plains Urban Agglomeration Development Plan" and the "13th Five-Year Plan" Modern Comprehensive Transportation System Development Plan of Henan Province" released in the first half of 2017, but it is still in the earlier stage of planning and research.

According to the data, the hefei section of the Ningxi high-speed railway, which is still planned, leads from Hefei along the existing Ningxi railway and goes west through Lu'an, Xinyang, Nanyang and Shiyan to Xi'an, with a total length of about 910 kilometers. Among them, about 90 kilometers from Hefei to Lu'an have been connected to the intercity, and about 253 kilometers from Shiyan to Shangluo to Xi'an are part of the planned Wuxi high-speed railway, and about 567 kilometers of new construction are still needed, including about 230 kilometers of Xinyangjing.

It can be seen that every year at the provincial two sessions and the two sessions of the National People's Congress, the deputies to The People's Congress who come to Xinyang will put forward suggestions, hoping to incorporate the Hefei to Xi'an section of the Ningxi high-speed railway via Xinyang into the relevant planning and construction as soon as possible.

This time, as part of the Ningxi high-speed railway, the Nanxinhe high-speed railway was "named", which encouraged more than 6 million people in the old area.

In 2021, Henan's meter-shaped high-speed railway network will be basically formed, and Henan will enter the post-meter era. For the next step of railway construction in Henan, Zhang Zhancang said in an interview that the meter-shaped high-speed rail only solves the problem of access in all directions, and the issue of close ties between cities should be further attached.

He took the Yangtze River Delta and pearl river delta regions as an example, saying that its railway infrastructure with higher density and support makes the closeness of regional ties higher. Therefore, within the scope of the Central Plains urban agglomeration centered on Zhengzhou, we must make greater efforts and have new ideas and ideas for the transportation infrastructure between Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Kaifeng, Xuchang, Xinxiang and Jiaozuo.

It is necessary to complete the Zhengji, Helan, and Xiongshang high-speed railways, strive to build the Henan-West Corridor of the Hunan high-speed railway, the Pingluozhou high-speed railway, and the Fuyang-Huanggang section of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Taiwan high-speed railway, strive to start construction of the Nanxinhe and Nanzhu-Fuzhou high-speed railways, plan and study zhumadian to Shangqiu via Zhoukou, Yinchuan to Shanghai via Luoyang Zhengzhou, Puyang to Huangchuan via Kaifeng, Taiyuan to Xuzhou via Anyang Puyang, and Xinxiang to Heze; and build the Xinxiang-Jiaozuo railway, the Zhengkai intercity extension line, and the Zhengxu municipal railway.
