Who am I? Who am I? Seemingly simple, I was speechless to see how the Buddha answered

author:dajier

Hello, hello, I'm a big-headed doll, welcome to my brain hole philosophy.

One morning, just after opening my eyes, I was asked, "Who am I?" At first, he thought he was sleeping stupidly or sleepwalking, but he actually asked such a question. I, instead of making fun of him, told him with a serious face, "You are you, your name is so-and-so, you look like in the mirror, not rich and handsome, not short and poor, just an ordinary person, married, has a particularly virtuous wife..."

Who am I? Who am I? Seemingly simple, I was speechless to see how the Buddha answered

Before he could finish speaking, he actually laughed. I stared at him and wondered if I was really stupid? He asked him, "Do you know who I am?" He smiled and said, "I really don't know who you are?" Oh my God, is this a dream? I reached out and squeezed my arm hard, and he screamed in pain. I asked incomprehensibly, "Not a dream, how can you talk nonsense?" He shouted, "Just want to see what you know about 'who I am?'" Who knows, you're just like me. ”

Later, I learned that he had watched a movie before going to bed last night, which had such a passage, "I have not been born, who am I?" Who was I when I was born? “。 He thought about it for a long time, didn't figure it out, and actually came to test me in the morning.

Later, after checking on the Internet, I learned that this was from the praise poem of Ai XinJue Luo Fu Lin, that is, the Shunzhi Emperor. The full poem is pictured, where the interest is:

Who is I who has not been born to me?

Who was I when I was born?

Growing up, fang is me,

Who is hazy?

Who am I? Who am I? Seemingly simple, I was speechless to see how the Buddha answered

Just looking at these few sentences, for "Who am I?" This question is really difficult to answer, and it is really not what my name, this body, this person, and the various labels can represent. This me and this person seem to exist apart from the body and the brain. Even curious, why do you ask such a question? There is also a vague hint of sadness. And why have I never had such a question?

Who am I? Who am I? Seemingly simple, I was speechless to see how the Buddha answered

In fact, the Buddha once expressed this about the self, the body is not the self, the feeling is not the self, the concept, form, unconscious constructive force, etc. are not the self; knowledge, pure rational consciousness is not the self. It's not me, it's not me, it's not the ego that's easy to change. And the Buddha also said that there is no self.

Such a statement seems to emphasize that it is all "not me, not the self, there is no self", which reminds me of three other words, "small me, big me, no self". But there is still no answer to "Who am I?" "The next conclusion.

In fact, to put it bluntly, I can't fully understand it, and it is up to my brain to understand this, just like putting the whole sea into my bowl. Just a mixture of just knowing. Moreover, without supersensory experience, this understanding of mine is impossible to penetrate. After all, rational thinking is limited.

But I tried to think about it. 1) I am a conscious body, and this conscious body, like a soul, will always exist and will not reincarnate with the body. What is a conscious body? Is it a burst of energy or what? indissoluble. 2) Based on Western sayings, I am a spiritual being, from the source of life, the Son. For some reason, for this, I always feel that this is the symbolic meaning of the metaphor.

For this problem, I would like to express it in one sentence. God did not choose me to proclaim His will, and my vocation, like all, is to seek myself among all.

That's it, welcome to see this.

The brain hole will continue.
