In mid-September, the Comprehensive Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau of Kunming Municipal Health Commission carried out unified health supervision and inspection and water quality sampling work for swimming places in the five districts of the main city of Kunming, Anning City and three national-level development (resort) areas, supervising and sampling swimming pool water samples from 91 swimming places, and the results showed that the water quality of 30 swimming places was unqualified.

The swimming pool water quality testing items are 6 indicators, including the total number of bacteria, coliform bacteria, urea, free residual chlorine, turbidity, and pH value. In response to the unqualified swimming places in September, the Comprehensive Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau of the Kunming Municipal Health Commission said that administrative penalties will be imposed in accordance with the requirements of the "Sanitary Norms for Swimming Places" and in accordance with the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Management of Health in Public Places".
The Kunming Municipal Health Commission Comprehensive Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau said that in the next step, the health supervision agencies at all levels in Kunming should strengthen the daily supervision of swimming places, supervise swimming places to improve the quality of health safety and protect the health rights and interests of citizens in accordance with the requirements of health norms. All swimming places should further strengthen the awareness of health management and the main responsibility, implement epidemic prevention and control measures, ensure that the water quality of swimming pools meets national health standards, and provide quality services and health protection for the citizens of Chuncheng City.
