Huanggong East Street is a forgotten street in Kunming, running north-south, the southern entrance is Wuyi Road, and the northbound end is the residence of Lu Chongren, the former director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Finance. The entire street is not long, up to 200 meters.
From Wuyi Road near the Wuhua District Government in Kunming, go south (in the direction of Wuyi Cinema) and cross an intersection to Huanggong East Street.
On the left side of the intersection, it was the May Day Cinema that Kunming was once famous, and the old house of the cinema was still there, but it was dilapidated. Where did the once noisy crowd go? They will never come back.

The location diagonally opposite the May Day Cinema turned out to be a small supermarket. I didn't go for a long time, and when I went today, I found that the small supermarket was missing and replaced by a real estate agency store.
Follow Huanggong East Street from south to north, which is a downhill road.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Huanggong East Street was not called the current name, but was named "Persuasion Field Backstreet" after the persuasion field.
In 1918, Huang Yuying (Zihe), the commander of the 73rd Platoon of the New Army, who contributed to the battle of the Chongjiu Uprising in Kunming, replaced the Jiexi Duanzhong Temple (now demolished) with the Huang Gong Ancestral Hall. Because this street is located in the east of the ancestral hall, it is named Huanggong East Street.

Walking to the middle section of Huanggong East Street, it is a narrow alley that runs from east to west. This alley intersects with the north-south Huanggong East Street, and the narrow alley facing the east is the most famous stone road in Kunming, the bluestone road of Denghua Street.
The original Denghua Street Bluestone Slab Road, east from Huashan West Road, west to Huanggong East Street, along this road can climb Wuhua Mountain, so the name is called "Denghua Street". Denghua Street was built in the early Qing Dynasty and was repaired and widened during the Republic of China due to traffic needs. Only a 69-metre-long and 5.2-metre-wide bluestone slab remains.
This narrow stone road, for hundreds of years, people have walked on the horse, and it is completely a stone road with a heavy accumulation of years and vicissitudes. It no longer has the feeling of sharpening when it was first installed, when you carefully step on each stone slab, at this time, you have a lot of "before you don't see the ancients, and you don't see the comers later." The feeling of thinking of heaven and earth, alone but weeping".

Stop here for a moment and continue along Huanggong East Street to the south, which is in the direction of Cuihu Lake.
At the end of the street, a bright yellow wall blocked the way. Inside this wall, there is an old mansion, which is the residence of Lu Chongren, the former director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Finance before liberation. Through the fence, you can see that it is a two-story French building.
It is estimated that it is almost the same as the Luhan Mansion.
And what Lu Chongren Mansion is aimed at is the spring-like Green Lake.
