On December 19, the legendary art director Peter Lamont, who was nominated for four Oscars, worked on 18 007 films and won an Oscar for Titanic, has passed away at the age of 91.
He was also involved in the filming of Seven Percent Solution, Violinist on the Roof and Alien.

The news of Lamont's death was posted on social media by the official 007 account, and there is no more detailed information about his death.
"Peter Lamont is a beloved member of the Bond family and a giant in the industry," said producer Michael Larmont. G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement. "From The Goldfinger of 007 (1964), he was inextricably linked to James Bond's aesthetic of art and design."
Lamont was born in London on 12 November 1929. He first worked as a handyman at Pinewood Studios, served in the Royal Air Force, and later returned to the studio as a draftsman, working on One Heart (1950), The Browning Version (1951) and Your Sincerity (1952).
He served as an art director in 007's Top Secret (1981) and was involved in the production of 18 of the 25 films, nine of which were art directors.
After working with Sean Connery, George Lazarbe, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan, he either ended his career at Casino Royale (2006), the first Bond film starring Daniel Craig.
His autobiography, The Golden-Eyed Man: The Design of a James Bond Film, was published in 2016.
His son, Neil Lamont, is the artistic director of the Harry Potter films and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
