Original small flower ghost needle grass Annual herb, 20-90 cm tall. The lower part of the stem is cylindrical and striped, and the middle and upper parts are often blunt and square, glabrous or sparsely sparsely covered with short soft hairs. Leaf opposites; petiole length 2-3 cm, slightly convex or flattened on the back, grooves in the ventral surface, sparse hairs in the groove and margin; leaves 6–10 cm long, two to three pinnate splits, the first split is as deep as the middle rib, the lobes are pinnate again, the small lobes have 1-2 coarse teeth or a third pinnacles, the last lobe is linear or linear lanceolate, the apex is sharp, the edge tips are rolled upwards, the upper part is covered with short soft hairs, the bottom is hairless or sparsely hairy along the leaf veins, the upper lobes are alternate, and the second or first pinnate splits. Cephalic inflorescences are solitary, with long stems; total bracts, soft hairs at the base, 4-5 outer bracts, linear lanceolate, margins covered with soft hairs, the inner bracts are often only 1, the supporters are transparent; the edges of the supports are transparent; there are no tongue-like flowers; disc flowers are amphoteric, 6-12 flowers, corolla barrels, and the crown mast has 4 tooth fissures. The fruit is linear, slightly 4-sided, 13-16 cm long, tapering at both ends, with small bristles, and 2 mango spines at the apex, with barbed hairs.

Trait identification Total length 30-50 cm, the lower part of the stem is cylindrical, with longitudinal stripes, the middle and upper parts are often blunt squares; the surface is dark brown. Single leaves are opposite, the complete leaves are two to three pinnate splits after flattening, the small leaves are striped lanceolate, the full margin of the leaf margin is slightly upwards, the upper edge is short soft hairs, the bottom is hairless or sparse soft hairs along the middle vein; the upper leaves are alternate, and the second to one is feathered. The cephalic inflorescence has a solitary stem and branches, and the flowers are yellowish brown. The smell is slight, the taste is slightly bitter.
Microscopic identification Stem cross-section: the epidermis is 1 column of flat cells, slightly elongated, and the outer stratum corneum. The number of cortical columns of parenchymal cells, with thick angular tissue at the four edges. Phloem fibrous bundles are distributed outside the phloem, intermittently in a ring, and the phloem is narrow. There are up to 30 vascular bundles; the ray parenchymal cells are neatly arranged; the medulla is wide, and calcium oxalate square crystals and starch granules are more common in myelin cells.
Leaf cross-section: upper epidermal cells flat, outer cuticles; 1 column of fence tissue, cells long cylindrical, sponge tissue thick, larger cell gaps, irregular cell shape. External toughness of the main vascular bundle.

Pharmacological effect on the digestive system: subcutaneous injection of 40g/kg of small ghost branch injection has a significant inhibitory effect on rats and guinea pigs pyloric ligation ulcer, 45g/kg subcutaneous injection also significantly reduces the area of stress gastric ulcer in mice; small devil fork 46g/kg also significantly inhibits the occurrence of reserpine ulcers in mice. The subcutaneous injection of 40g/kg and 20g/kg of small devil fork significantly reduced the amount of gastric juice secretion in rats and reduced the acidity of gastric juice. The small devil fork has no effect on the contraction of the gastric muscle strips of the isolated guinea pigs; however, the intravenous injection of 40g/kg is completely inhibited in the movement of the stomach of the chicken 5-l5 minutes after administration, until it does not recover for 2 hours. Intraperitoneal injection of 45 g/kg of the little devil fork significantly inhibited intestinal charcoal propulsion in mice.
The lethality of half of the intraperitoneal injection of small devil's injection in toxic mice was 173g/kg, and the confidence limit range was 170.2-175.8g/kg. There is no hemolytic effect in vitro. No irritating symptoms on the cornea of rabbits. In rabbit quadriceps stimulation experiments, there was congestion in local tissues.
