Today's carpenter circle, is to introduce a carpentry enthusiast, I especially like to grind saws with my friends, help customers customize some pure handmade works, such as ancient models, miniature furniture, wooden spoons, etc., although the creation is very difficult, but this is my biggest hobby. This is not the privilege of sharing a wooden comb that I just baked in the carpenter circle today, the most profound impact of handmade wooden comb on me is the process of hand polishing, because a good wooden comb is polished by hand, experience the charm of wood, and plan to make some furniture in the future, and strive to be a small carpenter.

On the machine began to engrave
The tip of the tooth should also leave a two-millimeter appearance, and it will be cut off with sandpaper. If you trim the tip now, after doing it, combing your hair will hurt to draw a good picture on the paper, and the teeth are best printed, all attached to the wood. The teeth are best CAD printed well, which can be wide or narrow to grasp by themselves. Sticky and dry, you can saw. The shape has been painted on the comb wood.
The wood you buy should be square. Use a ruler pencil to draw the line to be sawn, and the length and width are customized, but not too tightly, so as not to break the teeth when making. The role of the pliers is mainly to fix the wood and facilitate operation. Because the comb material is relatively thin, there is no need to buy too large a size.
General selection, mostly depends on what color you like, and then go to find the corresponding finished picture, think the effect is OK, then buy it.
Sculpt the teeth and contours, prepare to start grinding, draw the approximate place to be polished, in order to facilitate the grinding of the teeth a little thinner. First put on the file to grind the teeth a little thinner, use a small file to sharpen the details and outer contours, the general shape comes out, start the sandpaper grinding, first use 180 to grind well, and then use 240.
Here it should be emphasized that there are not many techniques for polishing, but it is important to be sure to sand along the texture. After the shape is polished, start to grind the teeth, clip the comb on the table vise, wrap it with cotton gloves to prevent it from being clipped, start to use 320 sanding, pay attention to the technique.
After grinding two or three times, start using the grinding of 400, and then pay attention to the grinding of the comb tooth head on the top, and because it is the comb down the cnc, whether it is the pitch or the thickness of the teeth is very delicate, it does not need too much polishing, only need to go through a few times, the following is the 400 grinding method of the comb teeth.
After 400 there are 600,800 each two to three times, depending on the material and personal circumstances.
After that, we will return to the polishing of the tooth surface and the surface of the comb, from 320 to 800, each three or four times, and the details must be patient
Use 600 and 800 to grind the comb teeth a little rounder, 600 to grind the surface, 800 to grind the surface
Start polishing on 1000
After 1000, 1200, as for whether to use finer sandpaper later, my advice is based on the characteristics of the wood, generally it is better to grind the more fine the wood, the better
Then there is wood wax oil, and beeswax is also available
The final product, I gave a tassel and two small red beans. When polished to two thousand or three thousand eyes, you will find that the touch is already very smooth, but it is still far from the reflection, at this time you can choose to wax it, and then rub it with a cloth, it will be shiny and shiny! And waxing can also protect the wood, making it not easy to crack. Wooden comb making is a good choice for carpentry enthusiasts to make by hand, you can also try to make furniture by mistake, come and experience the charm of wood, and strive to be a small carpenter.
