Kashgar, Xinjiang, July 15 (Zhu Jingchao Kawulijiang) Every morning, Tayir Zunong, a farmer in Happiness Village, Tashmilik Township, Shufu County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang, picks ripe apricots in his orchard and naturally dries them in the drying shed.

His orchard is 3.5 acres, under the Gonggel Jiubie Peak, which is covered with snow all year round. The glacier snow watering and abundant light create the unique quality of the long-cultivated apricots here, the "Muyag Apricot".

A small number of fresh fruits are exported, and most of them are dried apricots. Tayir said that the fine dried apricots can sell for more than 150 yuan per kilogram, and it has long been booked. "Be very careful when picking. If the damage to apricots affects the beauty of fresh fruits and dried apricots, the price is also affected. According to preliminary estimates, the income of apricots this year is more than 100,000 yuan. ”

Shufu County is the "hometown of China's Muyag apricots", which obtained organic product certification in 2006 and national agricultural product geographical indication certification this year. The county's Muyag apricot cultivation area is nearly 100,000 mu, and Tashmilik Township exceeds 1/3, which is the main production area. When the reporter interviewed in the township, he saw that most of the apricots in the orchard were picked, and some of them were picked until the beginning of August. In the drying field built by the township government, apricots are filled with drying racks. Peng Yongsheng, secretary of the township party committee, told reporters that Kashgar Xinjiang Fruit Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. directly purchased from the field, sorted, packed, put into cold storage, and the next day the cold chain was transported to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places.

Chen Wenjun, general manager of Kashgar Xinjiang Fruit Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., said that from 2018, Muyage apricots were promoted on e-commerce platforms, because of the good taste, consumer recognition and evaluation are getting better and better every year. 80% of the county's fresh fruits and 50% of dried apricots are sold by it.
