With the theme of "YuFeng Drum Rhyme, Liuxiang Huaiyuan", this year's Pomegranate Cultural Tourism Festival will carry out 11 series of activities, including live tracing, pomegranate king selection, literary and artistic performances, poetry, calligraphy and painting photography exhibitions, investment environment promotion meetings, etc.
Huaiyuan pomegranate is a national geographical indication protected product, and its quality ranks first among the four traditional pomegranate producing areas in China. Huaiyuan pomegranate excellent quality and Huaiyuan County's unique soil texture and geographical environment is inextricably linked, Huaiyuan is located in China's north-south dividing line, the Huai River through the Jingtu Ershan rush east, the foothills of the pomegranate tree lush, unique microclimate environment, creating a unique flavor of Huaiyuan pomegranate: thin pomegranate skin, large grain (100 grains weigh up to 102 grams), high sugar content (up to 17%), low acid content (as low as 0.4%), slightly sour and sweet taste. Affected by the geographical location, Huaiyuan pomegranate matures late, and the quality is the best after the cold dew festival every year, compared with other regions where pomegranates are listed later.
It is understood that the Huaiyuan County Party Committee and the county government have always focused on protecting and developing the Huaiyuan pomegranate brand and promoting the integrated development of pomegranate one, two and three industries.
