With the theme of "Yufeng Drum Rhyme, Liuxiang Huaiyuan", this year's Pomegranate Cultural Tourism Festival will further enhance the brand influence and popularity of Huaiyuan Pomegranate by holding literary and artistic performances, poetry and painting exhibitions, poverty alleviation exhibitions, investment environment promotion meetings and "Pomegranate King" selection. The opening ceremony kicked off with a wonderful theatrical performance, dance, song, magic... The colorful program made the audience feast their eyes. Gao Dongsheng, deputy secretary of the Huaiyuan County Party Committee and county magistrate, introduced in his opening speech that Huaiyuan County is known as the "hometown of pomegranates", with a long history of pomegranate cultivation, excellent quality and prestige, and in 2010, "Huaiyuan Pomegranate" was rated as a national geographical indication protection product.

As one of the highlights of the Pomegranate Cultural Tourism Festival, the selection of "Pomegranate King" is particularly eye-catching. At the event site, more than 20 pomegranate samples participated in the "campaign", and finally three varieties of "pomegranate king" were born, namely "safflower jade seed", "red agate" and "white flower jade seed".
