Nanguo pear is an autumn pear, its picking period is in early September every year, after picking, it needs to be stored after the natural fermentation of its flesh before the color, taste and smell of the fruit can be fully revealed. The freshly picked fruit is crisp and hard, and after one to two weeks of storage, the flesh becomes yellowish white, at which time the flesh of the south fruit pear is soft, sweet and delicious, and the aroma is strong. Nanguo pear contains 14.4% to 15.5% soluble solids and 0.41% acid content, which is of excellent quality and is the best among pears. Measured by the Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, nanguo pear contains a variety of trace elements up to 37 kinds, of which zinc, iron, potassium, calcium, crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, lysine, soluble sugar content are higher than other fruits, has the effect of prolonging life, beauty and beauty.
Nanguo pear after the short ripening period, the shelf period is also short, the green fruit can only be stored at room temperature for about 1 month, ripe fruit to deterioration is only 2 to 3 days time, so before selling can only be stored at low temperature in the air conditioning warehouse; because its pulp is very easy to change color and deteriorate after contact with the air.
