During the Republic of China period, Zhengyang Lou also undertook state banquets. Famous dishes include steamed crab in a small cage, quail in sauce, and fresh crab in sauce, which was the most famous place to eat crabs in Beijing at that time.

Mr. Liang Shiqiu said: "In Beiping, the only good place to eat crabs is the Zhengyang Building of meat market outside the front door. ”

The crabs of Zhengyang Lou, every autumn, from Tianjin Shengfangyun, depart from Tianjin by train in the morning, arrive at Beiping East Station at noon, crab unload the train to arrive at the Qianmen Vegetable Market, the first time to let Zhengyang Lou pick the goods tip, Zhengyang Lou's purchase and pick enough, before selling to the outside world.

Later, it became the first fast food restaurant in Beijing. Later, crab feasts and shabu lamb were revived, and it was the 1990s.

Qingyun Building

Qingyun Building is one of the earliest Lu restaurants in the "Eight Buildings".

●1820

When it opened, the Opium War had not yet begun, and the GDP of the Qing Dynasty ranked first among the countries of the world, that is, in 1820. The nobles did not anticipate the coming thunder change, and lived a life of silver ingots watching the mountains and drinking wine in the Qingyun Building.

The location of Qingyun Building is the best of the "Eight Buildings". Just next to the Silver Ingot Bridge, the scenery of Shichahai is in full view. The princes and generals are all regular visitors to this place, and they want to cook well.

● The last years of the Qing Dynasty

The boss voluntarily withdrew from the Beijing restaurant circle for unknown reasons. The chefs of Qingyun Lou are all golden signboards, and they have joined other Famous Lu cuisine stores, objectively speaking, they have helped the formation of the "Eight Buildings" of Beijing Lu Cuisine forces.

● After the founding of New China

QingyunLou became a homesteader, and the owner was engaged in mounting and painting, and was very famous in the capital. Mr. Qi Gong, a famous calligrapher, learned that this was the former site of Qingyun Lou and gave it to himself.

●2008

The new owner of Qingyun Building took on the responsibility of inheriting the old brand, resumed the operation of Qingyun Building, and reopened. Adhering to the principle of repairing the old as old, it not only maintains the charm of Qingyun Lou in decoration, but also makes Qingyun Lou, the golden signboard of Lu cuisine, regain its glory in the dishes. Three non-sticks, vinegar pepper fish, roasted sea cucumber with green onion, boiled fish fillets, crispy chicken, nine-turn large intestine, these famous dishes of the year, gradually returned to the silver ingot bridge.

Xinfeng Building

Xinfeng Building, one of the "Eight Buildings", opened in the Intersection of Hufang Bridge Xiangchang during the Guangxu Period and closed before 1949. It resumed business in the 1980s, but it no longer had the same scenery as it did.

How beautiful was Xinfeng Building back then?

Mr. Cheng Yanqiu, a Peking Opera performance artist, Mr. Zhang Daqian, a master of Chinese painting, married, Wang Junyi, a master of comics, and Mr. Lu Xun, all chose Xinfeng Building, a Lu cuisine restaurant.

Every large-scale event is often a celebrity gathering, with a number of one or two hundred people. Signature vegetable oil fried belly silk, roast duck with gluttony, almond lantern, pot collapsed fish head, vegetarian noodle soup, dry steaming points, cabbage roasted purple abalone... Curiously, the pillar of Xinfeng Lou, the famous Tangtou Luan Academy in Beijing at that time, later led the entire chef team to quit the popular Xinfeng Lou at that time and create another famous Lu cuisine brand - Fengze Garden.

The inner face of the new Feng Lou was gone, and gradually it declined.

In addition to some old people still remember the story of the storm in that year, people now only know the name of Xinfeng Lou.

Chunhua Building

Chunhua Building, opened in the early republic of China in the east of Wudaomiao Road outside Beiping and Pingmen, is one of the "eight buildings" in Beiping in the early republic of China.

Chunhua Lou is not nothing left, there is one thing that can still be seen, that is, the name of the treasurer of Chunhua Lou: Bai Yongji.

Mr. Bai Yongji is the treasurer of Chunhua Building, and also a famous chef, known as the "first chef in Beiping". Mr. Bai Yongji also has a lot of research on calligraphy and painting, and is a close friend of Mr. Zhang Daqian.

Because Mr. Bai Yongji did a good job in his cuisine and his achievements in appreciating calligraphy and painting were also very high, Chunhua Building often became a place for literati and inkers, calligraphers and painters, and scholars to communicate at that time.

Hu Shi, Li Shizeng, Qian Xuantong, Hu Peiheng, Wu Jingting, etc. are all regular visitors here.

In 1929, Mr. Zhang Daqian and the famous theater artist Yu Shuyan met, and when they saw each other, they often met to go to The Chunhua Building for dinner. Bai Yongji gave side dishes, and every guest returned home with pleasure.

At that time, some people jokingly called the three people "three absolutes": "I can't sing Yu Shuyan, I can't paint Zhang Daqian, and I can't eat Bai Yongji." ”

The three of them also posed and asked someone to take a photo. Yu Shuyan took the huqin in his hand as a self-singing form, Zhang Daqian made a stroke painting in the middle, and Bai Yongji took a spatula and pretended to be a stir-fry.

Since Zhang Daqian became friends with Bai Yongji, he painted a middle hall for Bai Yongji every year. The paintings were later shown at large auctions or exhibitions.

Like what:

●"Lotus Pond Moonlight (1934)"

●"Poetry of Shaoling (1935)"

●"Huashan Sea of Clouds (1936)"

●"Fishing Blue Kannon (1937)"

Small banners and fans sent Bai Yongji a lot.

●December 1936

In response to the call of philanthropists, Mr. Zhang Daqian held a painting exhibition "Relief of Extreme Poverty - Zhang Daqian and Yu Feiyan Cooperative Painting Exhibition" for three days in Beijing, and He Haixia, Chao Zhangfu and others also participated in the charity sale, and all the exhibits were sold out. Bai Yongji, the treasurer of Chunhua Building, donated a lot of money to accomplish this, and later Mr. Zhang Daqian gave "Wuxia Qingqiu" as a newspaper. On these paintings, Bai Yongji's name is inscribed.

As a restaurant, as a chef, Chunhua Lou and Bai Yongji were in the limelight in Beijing at that time.

● On the eve of the founding of New China

Primavera Building is closed.

●January 15, 2013

Chunhua Building reopened at No. 9 Malian Road, but unfortunately failed to continue the grand occasion of the year and was soon abandoned.
