Summer is the "Hong Kong foot" frequent season, doctor: home with vinegar feet can not achieve the bactericidal effect, 30% of medical glacial acetic acid is effective

As summer comes, annoying problems arise under the feet of many people. For example, some people have blisters and peeling on their feet, and even have unbearable itching, which is likely to be the cause of athlete's foot.

Athlete's foot, which we commonly call "Hong Kong foot", is medically known as tinea pedis, is a very common skin disease, the incidence accounts for more than 10% of the total population, and it is more common in young and middle-aged men. It also has a high recurrence rate, with about 84% of patients having more than twice a year.

More importantly, beriberi has a more obvious impact on the daily life, work and social life of patients, and surveys have shown that more than half of patients have affected sleep or even work and daily life because of itching.

Tinea pedis is a skin disease of the feet that is contagious and caused by fungi. Because fungi prefer an environment with high temperature and humidity, the summer temperature is higher, and the feet are easy to sweat, forming a hotbed that is very suitable for fungal growth, which is also the reason for the frequent occurrence of tinea pedis in summer.

Tinea pedis can be divided into vesicular, interbrasional erosion, and scaly keratosis according to different symptoms, and each patient has a different situation and can often be both.

【Blister type】

Symptoms are predominantly small blisters, which tend to occur on the soles of the feet and toes, accompanied by circular desquamation, and the itching is obvious.

【Intermittent erosion type】

With inter-toed as the main site of onset, local whitishing, erosion, and the flow of scratching can lead to secondary bacterial infection due to scratching, and complications such as erysipelas occur.

【Scaly horn type】

This type is more common, and people with prolonged seizures are more likely to convert to this type, often manifesting as local dryness, chapped, and bleeding in winter.

Summer is the "Hong Kong foot" frequent season, doctor: home with vinegar feet can not achieve the bactericidal effect, 30% of medical glacial acetic acid is effective

At present, the main treatment of tinea pedis is to use antifungal drugs, but many patients have poor long-term efficacy, so there are recommendations for the treatment of external vinegar soaking feet.

Extremely tenacious fungus can survive in an acidic environment with a PH value of less than 5.4, if you want to kill the fungus simply by soaking vinegar, you need to use 30% medical glacial acetic acid, and the concentration of acetic acid in the edible vinegar that can be purchased daily is far from meeting this requirement.

However, medical glacial acetic acid is only suitable for patients with scaly keratosis, and patients with blister type and interbrasional erosion type are not suitable for use due to the damaged and eroded skin of the feet.

There are also some methods to cure tinea pedis, Chinese medicine. Many drugs in traditional Chinese medicine have fungal effects, such as bitter ginseng, hundred parts, white fresh skin, soap horn thorn, etc., and there are records of the use of classic square goose paw wind soaking formula to treat tinea pedis in Chinese medicine texts.

On the three-volt day, the patient can better achieve the effect of killing fungi and treating tinea pedis by using white vinegar and traditional Chinese medicine to soak the feet under the guidance of the doctor. Specifically, soak these drugs with white vinegar overnight and then boil, skim off the residue and let cool, soak for 40 minutes to an hour a day, soak once or twice a day, and use continuously throughout the three volt days.

It should be noted that during use, avoid contact with alkaline soap liquid with both feet. Through two or three courses of treatment, local cracks and bleeding can be significantly controlled, and the winter attack will be significantly reduced. However, edible vinegar is still irritating, and should not be used if the skin on the feet is damaged or if patients with allergies to acetic acid are not suitable.

In daily life, there are also ways to reduce the occurrence of tinea pedis. You know, the culprit that causes tinea pedis - fungi like humid and hot environments, are extremely viable, and can spread from person to person, pollutants from person to person. Generally speaking, people with sweaty hands and feet, people who like to wear breathless shoes, and people with poor immunity are prone to tinea pedis, and may also be infected by mixing shoes and socks and sharing utensils with people with tinea pedis.

Therefore, the best way to stay away from tinea pedis is to keep your feet dry and avoid touching the patient's feet or the shoes and socks that the patient has used.

Tinea pedis is a hot and humid bet in Traditional Chinese medicine, so in the daily diet, you should avoid eating raw, damp, spicy, and fatty foods, such as peppers, lamb, hot pots, barbecues, etc.

Develop good hygiene practices

◆ Wash your feet frequently, change your socks frequently, and your shoes and socks should be often exposed to the sun;

◆ People with sweaty feet should choose breathable sandals in the summer, and talc powder can also be used;

◆ If there is a tinea pedis in the family, its utensils should be disinfected at high temperature and exposed to the sun;

◆ To improve your own immunity, you can eat more vitamin-rich foods.
