The 2019 Autumn Rhyme Poetry Food Culture Tourism Festival was held in Xinghua Water Forest
On October 4th, the opening ceremony of the 2019 Xinghua Water Forest Autumn Rhyme Poetry Food Culture Tourism Festival was grandly held.
Fang Chunyang, chairman of Xinghua Water Forest and poet, delivered a speech welcoming poets and reciters from both sides of the strait to come to collect wind and tourism. Qu Jinxing, chief planner of this event and chief planner of the Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala, said in a speech that Xinghua is the best combination of poetry, distant places and food (crabs). At the opening ceremony, the signing ceremony of the Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala and the strategic partner of the Water Forest Scenic Spot and the launching ceremony of the 6th Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala in Wuxi and Taizhou in 2020 were also held. Xinghua is known as the "Cradle of Water Margin, the Hometown of Banqiao", a famous historical and cultural city, the hometown of Chinese novels, and the hometown of chess. The poetry and prose creation of xinghua in ancient times has been recorded in writing since fan zhongyan of Xinghua Zhixian in the Northern Song Dynasty. The far-reaching influence of poetry creation is the late Yuan Dynasty Xinghua hermit poet Cheng Tingjue, who is revered as the "originator of Xinghua poets". Later, many poets such as Chen Jin, Wang Guodong, Zheng Banqiao, Ren Dachun, Liu Xizai, etc. were the successors of the Zhaoyang Poetry School and had a great influence, and there were more than 60 famous poems and essays collected in the county chronicle.
Xinghua is rich in water towns, rich in special pollution-free vegetables such as dragon sweet potato, chives, lotus root, diamond horn, zibai, as well as green freshwater products such as hairy crabs, green shrimp, lobsters, mandarin fish, tiger head sharks and so on. Among them, it is famous for its high yield and good quality dragon sweet potato, which has been brilliantly presented on CCTV's "China on the Tip of the Tongue". Special water village dishes such as crab yellow taro soup, large fish balls, braised lotus balls, and puff pastry spring rolls cooked with original ingredients are more unique to the local flavor.
