On August 1, 1950, the predecessor of Sinopharm, China National Pharmaceutical Corporation, was officially established. It was also in that year that the Korean War broke out.

At that critical moment, Zhao Weide, who was working at the medicinal materials station of the military region, received an order to send the medical supplies to the front line in advance. At the age of 20, he took off his military uniform and entered North Korea ahead of schedule with three comrades in civilian clothes. From October 1950 to July 1953, the war lasted for 33 months. Beijing Xinte Pharmaceutical Company took active action and finally found that the drug was available in the company's small warehouse. Jiang Xin told reporters that at that time, "dimercaptopropanol" had achieved localization of independent production, and because of the realization of mass production and supply and the decline in value, from special drugs to ordinary drugs, is preparing to be sent by special drug stores to ordinary pharmaceutical companies around the world for sale.

Jiang Xin told reporters that at present, the state-controlled Beijing, which belongs to Sinopharm, is still carrying out assistance activities in Pinglu County, Shanxi Province, sending medicines and medicines to Pinglu County and solving practical difficulties.

Jiang Xin told reporters that after receiving the news, many employees spontaneously returned the Spring Festival train tickets they had bought so hard and immediately threw themselves into battle, regardless of personal gains and losses. When there are not enough transport vehicles, private cars are used, and some even find relatives and friends to borrow cars to complete the transportation of materials.
